How the Schubert Salzer poppet valve 7010 works
Schubert & Salzer poppet.
The poppet valve is the most flexible all-rounder in valve technology. This rugged valve design allows for very many switching cycles and does not induce a shut-off stroke when used for counter-flow shut-off. Schubert & Salzer's poppet valves are combined with pneumatic and electric actuators for use wherever safe shut-off or precise control of liquid and gaseous media, even with minor contamination, is required.
Schubert & Salzer's poppet valves are available in stainless steel or bronze and are designed as globe or control valves with different connection options over a wide temperature range, making them ideal for a wide range of industrial applications.
Poppet Category.
Elbow seat valve. Straight seat valves.
Flange valves. Three-way valve.
Angle valves. Microvalves.
The design principle of the globe valve.
The shut-off valve of the Schubert & Salzer poppet valve consists of a cone with a hermetically sealed seat. When the control plug is used, the flow is throttled according to the valve opening. The pneumatic or linear actuator used is connected to the poppet spool via a piston rod and operates independently of the working medium. The dynamic sealing of the piston rod is carried out by means of a self-adjusting packing. The poppet valve can flow through both sides. For liquids, reverse the flow direction of the cone to avoid closing shocks and pressure peaks.
Advantages of poppet valves.
Robust and compact all-rounder valve.
High switching capacity and abrasion resistance.
Reliable shutdown function.
Shock-free shut-off, counter-flow shut-off.
High tightness, low leakage.
Wide range of temperature applications.
Easy to insulate and low heat loss.
High kvs value.
Easy to install and service.
SCHUBERT & Salzer Pneumatic Shut-off Valve.
Pneumatic globe valves are the most flexible all-rounders in valve technology with a very high opening and closing capacity. The stainless steel version is suitable for neutral and corrosive media, but is also suitable for a wide range of temperature applications. The sloping seat design provides high flow rates.
