Speed and tension are standard in The Finals, but tactics and teamwork are paramount. However, some mechanics aren't so obvious! The tutorials at The Finals cover the basics of the game, but a lot of important information is overlooked.
To give you an edge against your opponents in the arena, we've put together some tips that aren't covered in the game. Here are our top 5 tips:
1. Climb the wall and jump
This movement mechanic isn't covered in detail in the game, but with a little practice, you can greatly expand your movement options.
To trigger the "wall jump", you first need to climb along an object to get to it which can be walls, roofs, railings, platforms, etc. As your character grabs the edge and pulls up, press the jump and arrow keys at the same time.
For example, you can press the backward (S key on the keyboard or the backward stick on the controller) and the jump button at the same time to jump backwards on a wall or quickly sideways to dodge. Especially when used in conjunction with the Dash ability, this mechanic can lead to new and exciting tactics.
2. Window skills
If you're often having trouble getting to high floors (especially if you're attacking well-defended positions), then be warned: each class can jump from window to window outside without having to go through stairs!
How? Simply break a window or curtain on the ground, stand directly inside the window frame, turn outward, and look up. Then press the jump button while turning the character's body towards the wall of the building and press the jump button again.
Your character will pull up. This way you can easily get to the next floor or even to the roof, if there are no railings. This way you won't have to go through the hassle of finding an elevator or climbing ropes!
3. Destruction without detonation
In The Finals, using map destruction to your advantage and attacking from unexpected angles is more effective than direct head-on confrontation. But you don't have explosives? The goo bucket can also come in handy.
The map is full of pink goo buckets. When they are shot, they ** into large chunks and block passages or sights. But few people know: you can also use them for demolition!
Simply throw a goo bucket vertically above your target, then shoot it at the highest point, and the goo block will only pass through the ground due to the descent speed, opening a hole under your feet and creating new passages. That's physics!
4. Kill by fire outside the wall
Fire Kill Fire Charge** passes through walls and ceilings, so you can kill enemies who think you're safe. The fire charge effect is always on the landing spot and the opposite side.
For example, if an enemy is hiding above you and is comfortably waiting to reap the benefits, you can scare them with a sudden burst of fire below: just throw a fire grenade at the ceiling on the lower floors to cause chaos and deal a lot of damage.
5. Elemental effects and countermeasures
In"the finals"Many physical and environmental effects follow strict rock-paper-scissors principles. Therefore, almost all gadgets or annoying obstacles, such as flames, poison gas, etc., have direct countermeasures.
If a class is in flames, it will not last long. Smoke is a quick fix! If a class is in flames, it will not last long. Smoke is a quick fix! Of course, you want smoke and game stability, but also make sure that the network is stable and fast.
