Mo Yan said: If you look down on you, don't even look at him, whether it is family or friendship, this is also the best courtesy to pay tribute to him. Humility can only be exchanged for humility, and can never be exchanged for respect. 
There are always some people in life who feel superior to others and have their eyes turned to the sky when they look at us. My advice to these people is: don't pay too much attention to it, because what they say doesn't mean anything. Some people, the more you care about their opinions, the more proud they are. It seems that your efforts and your value can only be reflected by their recognition. 
How ridiculous is that! Our lives are for ourselves, not for the opinions of others. If you want to be respected by others, humility will not work. Because humility only makes you look weaker and less worthy of respect. Only when you become stronger, those who used to look down on you will look at you differently. Don't let those people's contempt be a stumbling block for you, and believe that your worth is not up to them. 
As long as you are determined to follow your own path and do what you think is right, one day, you will surprise them.
