In the ** hall of the National Center for the Performing Arts, antique lanterns surround the surroundings, high and low, and the warm and hazy light and shadow blur a strong New Year's flavor. On the eve of the Spring Festival, on the evening of February 6, Lu Jia conducted the National Centre for the Performing Arts Orchestra to play the annual "New Year Waltz" party, accompanying the audience to celebrate the New Year with a light and beautiful melody.
The atmosphere was noticeably warmer than usual, with the female performers dressed in skirts and the orchestra's usual solemn and formal black gowns dyed in bright colors. The glorious horn sounded followed by the sound of the drums, and Johann Strauss Jr.'s "March into the City" kicked off the meeting. The year 2024 marks the 220th anniversary of the birth of Johann Strauss Sr. and the 125th anniversary of the death of Johann Strauss Jr.
At the same time, the most popular melodies of composers such as Supe, Bizet, Chopin and Tchaikovsky were played one after another, from the overture of "The Poet and the Farmer" to the "Waltz of the Flowers". The famous Chinese composer Du Mingxin's "Waltz of Youth" is particularly chic, and the genre from the West carries the implicit joy of the Easterners, singing the ardent anticipation of a better future.
The 12 tracks were completed in one go, and the audience applauded. After thanking him several times, Lu Jia returned with the orchestra 3 times, and performed the jubilant "Radetzky March", "Backgammon" and "Spring Festival Overture", among them, "Spring Festival Overture" accompanied the children to dance the dragon on stage.
On February 7th, the "New Year Waltz"** will continue to be staged. During the Spring Festival, the live video of the performance will be held to meet more audiences.
