Abstract:LEAD and TIAMAT officially signed a global strategic cooperation agreement. The two parties will jointly explore the key technologies of sodium-ion batteries in the future, jointly promote the large-scale production of sodium-ion batteries in Europe, and contribute to the high-quality development of the global clean energy industry.
Recently, LEAD (300450) officially signed a global strategic cooperation agreement with TIAMAT of France. The two parties will jointly explore the key technologies of sodium-ion batteries in the future, jointly promote the large-scale production of sodium-ion batteries in Europe, and contribute to the high-quality development of the global clean energy industry.
TIAMAT is a developer and manufacturer of sodium-ion batteries born at the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) and is known for launching the world's first sodium-ion battery. Based on this strategic cooperation, LEAD will provide Tiamat with intelligent manufacturing solutions covering the process section of the sodium-ion battery production line, carry out customized battery product process design and verification, open up the process link of sodium-ion battery, realize the traceability of the whole life cycle of products, greatly reduce the cost of production, and help Tiamat achieve the important goal of building a 5GWh sodium-ion battery super factory in Amiens in northern France by 2030.
At the ceremony, Wang Yanqing, chairman of LEAD Intelligence, pointed out that LEAD is committed to promoting the cooperation of global clean energy solutions, and the establishment of cooperation with TIAMAT is a key step for LEAD to promote the large-scale mass production of sodium-ion batteries in Europe.
It is reported that LEAD continues to focus on technological innovation in the industry, and has achieved full process coverage of various mainstream and new batteries, including square shells, soft packs, cylindrical, sodium ions, solid-state semi-solids, condensed matter, etc., and has provided more than 120 complete lines for global customers and provided solutions for battery smart factories with more than 2TWh around the world.
The downstream lithium battery production and manufacturing of LEAD Intelligence is a global business, and the international layout is the only way for the company's business development. The company is one of the earliest companies in the domestic equipment enterprises to carry out international layout, and has set up subsidiaries in Germany, Sweden, France, the United States, Japan, South Korea and other places. The equipment produced by the company is exported to more than 20 countries and regions such as Europe, the United States, Japan, South Korea, India, etc., and maintains good strategic cooperative relations with overseas companies.
In terms of the European market, LEAD took the lead in multi-point layout and in-depth exploration of overseas localized operations. The company has a mature European local team, and has a strong long-term fixed service to overseas customers of the engineer team. The company has built a mature European local chain system, and has achieved stable cooperative relations with many core suppliers such as Siemens, ABB, and Festo. The company has been unanimously recognized by customers for its whole line delivery capabilities and European localization services, especially with Sweden's Northvolt, France's ACC and Germany's Volkswagen, three European local mass production battery factories.
In addition to the international strategic vision and layout, LEAD Intelligence's R&D innovation, talent ladder, and local services are also realizing internationalization step by step. In 2022, the company established an overseas technical competence center, becoming the first Chinese lithium battery equipment company to build a technology center in Europe, which is an important strategic milestone for the company to deploy overseas markets. This overseas fundraising project will upgrade the R&D capabilities and service capabilities of the existing European technology center, and provide strong strategic support for the overseas market development of LEAD.
In order to expand the company's production scale, achieve strategic layout, enhance the company's profitability and enhance the company's core competitiveness, recently, Pilot Intelligence also announced that the company intends to issue global depositary receipts (GDRs) worldwide and apply for listing on the Swiss ** Exchange, with a proposed fundraising scale of about 1 billion yuan, which will be invested in the expansion of the European technical competence center and R&D and upgrading projects, high-end equipment R&D, manufacturing and service capacity improvement projects, and supplementary working capital projects.
Specifically, LEAD plans to implement the expansion and R&D upgrade project of the European Technical Competence Center in Germany, which will build an overseas R&D and service center covering the whole of Europe to provide strong strategic support for the development of overseas markets of LEAD. The total investment of this project is 40.8 billion yuan, to invest in raising funds 31.1 billion yuan.
Through the implementation of this project, the company can finally form the R&D and industrialization capabilities of key equipment for solid-state and semi-solid-state batteries to serve global customers. The total investment of this project is 1.5 billion yuan, and it is planned to use 5 raised funds500 million yuan.
According to Frost & Sullivan data, the global lithium battery intelligent equipment market is expected to grow from RMB 153.7 billion in 2023 to RMB 518.7 billion in 2027, with a compound annual growth rate of 355%。China's lithium battery smart equipment market is expected to grow from RMB88.6 billion in 2023 to RMB253.7 billion in 2027, with a compound annual growth rate of 301%。
