watched "Parents' Love" three times, this drama is really boring to watch. There is no magnificent story, just ordinary life, but it vividly shows the joys, sorrows and sorrows of the family. When I saw the finale, I was deeply moved by the love between An Jie and Jiang Defu.
An Jie was hospitalized, Jiang Defu stayed by the bedside and never gave up, this kind of affection reminds me of the old saying: "Hold the hand of the son, grow old with the son". Their love flows in their daily lives, unassumingly, but extremely sincere.
The mention of Teckwah reminded me of her hard work at home. In the play, when Yafei talks about Dehua with An Jie and Jiang Defu, that conversation is simple and sincere. When Dehua returned to his brother and sister-in-law's house, it was as if he had returned to that familiar place, where she was rolling noodles and preparing meals, and the scene was so familiar. The moment Dehua ran out to greet An Jie, it was as if time had returned to the moment when they first met.
The screenwriter uses Dehua's destiny to remind us that although life is tortuous, we will eventually return to the most familiar and warm place. Dehua returns to his brother and sister-in-law, and although this ending is poignant, it is also full of human warmth. Although Lao Ding had rejected her, in the last stage of his life, Dehua finally found her home. This may be life, full of helplessness and ups and downs, but there is always a warmth waiting for us. Dehua took care of them willingly, and even gave birth to a daughter, Ding Xiaoyan. However, after Lao Ding's death, several of his sons proposed that Lao Ding be buried with Wang Xiu'e, much to the displeasure of Dehua, who did not dare to express her opinion publicly because her daughter Xiao Xiang did not seem to have a voice.
At this time, Jiang Yafei stepped forward and spoke up for Dehua. She had dinner with Ding Sanxiang and Ding Sixiang, and clearly pointed out that Dehua had been in their family for 30 years, brought up Ding Sixiang since he was a child, and even helped the sons of the Ding family take care of the children later. She emphasised that when considering the joint burial of her parents, they did not think about the future of Teckwah at all, just like an outsider. Jiang Yafei's words made these two people feel deeply ashamed.
Later, when the sons of the Ding family bought the cemetery, they chose the style of three acupuncture points. In this way, Dehua can be buried with Lao Ding and Wang Xiu'e after his death. The matter was satisfactorily resolved. However, this incident also reflects that Dehua is not fully respected in the Ding family. Although several of Ding's sons called her "aunt", after Ding's death, she lived alone, neither being expelled nor truly accepted as a family member. Therefore, it is very reasonable for Takhua to choose to return to his brother and sister-in-law's home in his old age. They had a strong relationship when they were young, and they were able to take care of each other in their old age.
In real life, similar situations are not uncommon. One of my aunts is a stark example of this. Her husband died young, leaving her estranged from her son. At the age of less than fifty, she remarried a retired old man. However, life after marriage is not easy, she not only has to take care of the old man, but also help his daughter with a second child. After the old man was paralyzed, his aunt and grandmother took care of him with all their might for two years, but in the end he passed away. His son and daughter-in-law sold the house directly, and the aunt had no choice but to return to her son's house. However, when she returned to her original home after more than twenty years of remarriage, her son and daughter-in-law did not welcome her. Her life was very difficult, and when I visited her sometimes, she always had tears in her eyes.
Despite the complexity of human nature, not all acts of kindness go unrewarded. We should cherish those who give quietly, their kindness and tenacity are the precious wealth of our society. In an article I read, there was an older sister who shared her story with her stepfather. When my sister was only ten years old, her father died. Her mother chose to remarry to a distant place in order to make a living. However, the stepfather put forward a harsh condition, that is, the woman could only bring one child over. The sister also had a four-year-old sister, and her mother had no choice but to put her sister in foster care and promised that she would be her daughter-in-law when she was sixteen. And the meal and tuition fees in the past few years are regarded as bride price.
Two years later, my mother and stepfather went to visit my sister and found her doing very well, dark and thin, with ragged clothes and shabby shoes. The mother shed tears and begged the stepfather to take his sister away, but the stepfather was very unhappy with this, saying that he really couldn't afford to raise two children. At this time, the elder sister knelt down and pleaded with her stepfather: "I will feed the pigs, feed the chickens, and do farm work, I can support myself." You can take her away, and let me be with my mother and sister. Under the bitter pleading of the mother and daughter, the stepfather did everything he could to pay off the food bill for his sister and brought her back home.
However, the addition of my sister makes family life even more difficult. But no matter how hard the days were, the stepfather never said a word about not letting his children go to school. Finally, both daughters were admitted to university and stayed in the big city to find good jobs. That sister worked as an executive in the company and earned a lot of money. She renovated the house for her parents and bought a full set of appliances, which made her neighbors envious.
However, the good times were short-lived, and my mother died in her seventies. The villagers began to worry about their stepfather's future, believing that their unrelated daughter might not come back to take care of him. But soon after, the sister took her stepfather to the city and prepared a comfortable bedroom for him. She said that when the family was poor, her mother wanted her to drop out of school, but her stepfather firmly objected, saying that no matter how difficult it was, he would provide for the child to study.
The older sister gratefully stated that while the stepfather was not a perfect person, it was his tenacity and hard work that propel them to the heights of success. She confessed: "Without him (stepfather), we would not be where we are today. "The inner world of man is like a deep ocean, full of unknowns and mysteries. However, there are always some people, and they will be like a bright light that illuminates our journey in life. Perhaps, this is why we love the world so much. Because of them, we have direction, hope, and the courage to move forward.
