The H3C BE18000 is a router with obvious advantages and disadvantages, and whether it is worth buying depends mainly on your needs.
Under ideal conditions, radiant point sources should radiate energy uniformly in all directions in a spherical shape (such undirected antennas do not exist in reality). If it is limited so that the energy radiates only in a certain direction, the distance it covers in that direction will be greatly increased.
The antenna of the home router itself cannot generate signals or amplify signals, but is only responsible for transporting signals and radiating the signals generated by the network chip and amplified by the power amplifier chip to all directions (in turn, receiving signals).
Generally, home routers use omnidirectional antennas, that is, they radiate uniformly at 360° in the horizontal direction, which is commonly referred to as non-directional, and their signal distribution is shown in the figure below: the gain perpendicular to the antenna (horizontal to the ground) is the strongest, and the gain parallel to the antenna (perpendicular to the ground) is the weakest.
Like the NX15000, the H3C BE18000 uses 3 sets of directional antennas instead of omnidirectional antennas. Thanks to the specialization in the coverage direction, its signal transceiver ability is generally better than that of omnidirectional antennas, and the signal coverage ability is stronger.
The SoC is IPQ9574, which belongs to the Qualcomm Networking Pro 1620 platform and Qualcomm's top chip.
2.QCN5024 for 4GHz chip and Sky85333-11 for FEM; The 5GHz chip is QCN6224 and the FEM is KCT8570HE. The overall materials are quite solid.
However, the wired network port is a 10G network port + Gigabit network port, I don't know what the product manager thinks, why not 2What about the 5G port? The Gigabit Ethernet port is not enough for Wi-Fi 7, and the vast majority of users do not use the 10G Ethernet port. It's a bit of a feeling that high is not low, and it wastes the ability of so many high-bandwidth interfaces of IPQ9574.
All in all, if you're looking to buy a Wi-Fi 7 router and want to achieve large coverage with just one router, the H3C BE18000 is worth buying.
But if you want to buy a more balanced flagship Wi-Fi 7 router, the network port configuration of the H3C BE18000 is not good. Xiaomi 10 Gigabit routers are obviously the better choice.
