Kuala Lumpur, February 27 (Reporter Chen Yue) Gu Runjin, president of the Malaysian Association for Promoting Peaceful Reunification of One China, issued a statement on the 27th, pointing out that the Council for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification of Malaysia recently held a council and unanimously adopted the formulation of three major declarations, adhering to the one-China policy pursued by Malaysia, paying close attention to the cross-strait situation after the elections in the Taiwan region, and condemning any third force that undermines the process of peaceful reunification between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait.
According to reports, the three major declarations are:
First, adhere to the purpose of the establishment of the Malaysian Association for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification, uphold and support the one-China policy pursued by Malaysia, recognize the one-China principle, and support the cross-strait peaceful and stable way to move toward the ultimate goal of peaceful reunification. The association is committed to promoting friendship and cooperation between Malaysia and China, supporting cross-strait exchanges and interactions, opposing any words and deeds of China, resolutely supporting the safeguarding of China's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and supporting China's great cause of peaceful reunification.
Second, we should pay close attention to the cross-strait situation after the elections in the Taiwan region, and never accept "resolutely opposing measures that undermine cross-strait peace, stability and development, and only recognizing the People's Republic of China's sole legitimacy." The association firmly believes that only by adhering to the one-China principle can we continue to move forward and the two sides of the Taiwan Strait can gradually move toward the goal of peaceful reunification.
Third, China will stick to its position and will continue to issue statements openly condemning any attempt by any third-party force to meddle in the Taiwan issue, provoke the process of peaceful reunification between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait, mislead the people in the Taiwan region, and trigger unnecessary cross-strait tensions. At the same time, the association will continue to support Malaysia's one-China policy in dealing with the policy and promote peaceful development.
Gu Runjin said that after the formulation of these three declarations, the future development of the association is clearer.
According to reports, the directors who attended the meeting also included vice presidents Chen Zhiyong, Cai Baoqiang, secretary-general Yao Dicong, deputy secretary-general Chen Kaishu and Liang Zhihua. (ENDS).
