Beijing Liangma River
The most chill and popular places are up to you.
The Liangma River, known as the "Beijing Seine River" and "Beijing Yachuan", has been built since the landscape corridor, washing away the barren appearance of the pastA 5. A waterfront slow traffic system with diverse characteristics, rich and diverse forms of revetments and complete public service facilitiesThe 5-kilometer-long blue-green scenic corridor has won the love of many citizens for its diverse, inclusive and shared waterfront space, and has become one of the popular places for leisure activities in the city.
When spring is in full bloom, the Liangma River is a great destination for solo or group travel, as well as an inclusive urban public space for paddleboarding, fishing, reading, swimming, dog walking, running, cycling and more.
Part of the riverbank elevation difference is cleverly designed as a double-layer riverside space: the lower floor is a leaf trail and a viewing platform, providing people with a space to be close to the water and watch the water; The upper floor is seamlessly connected with the surrounding corporate office space, and the commercial space can borrow the view of the river; Observation decks at the junction of roads and bridges create a waterfront space that is rich in variety and full of interest.
In addition to the creation of multiple spaces, the optimized natural ecological waterfront is also a highlight. The original mountain water system has been upgraded and transformed by optimizing the plants and repairing the revetments and garden roads. The newly added meandering water system is purified by planting characteristic aquatic plants and creating shallow water drops, forming an ecological transition area and becoming a place where residents and nature meet.
The improvement of the Liangma River is no longer limited to the combing of the "line" of the river, but extends to the integration of the "surface" of the city. The integration of riverside landscape and coastal commerce will change the commercial development model on both sides of the strait from "backing the river" to "embracing the river", driving the convergence of popularity and vitality regeneration, and bringing more opportunities for the upgrading of business formats and economic development in the surrounding areas.
