Train captain Yan Degang has spent 12 consecutive Spring Festivals on the Mercedes train This year's Chinese New Year's Eve still can't be with his family

The Chinese New Year is approaching, and many people have already embarked on the journey back to their hometowns, looking forward to reuniting with their families for the Chinese New Year. For Chinese, the reunion on Chinese New Year's Eve is the best reward for a year of hard work. But in Qingdao, every year on Chinese New Year's Eve, there is always a group of people rushing on the way to usher, using their own "no reunion" to protect the reunion of thousands of families. Qingdao Morning Post has launched a series of reports on "Chinese New Year's Eve on the Road" to tell their stories.

Make dumplings, watch the Spring Festival Gala, and celebrate the New Year's ...... with your familyThis is the "prescribed action" of many people's Chinese New Year's Eve, but for Yan Degang, the conductor of the Qingdao passenger section of the Jinan Bureau of the National Railway, it is strange and precious. This year is the 18th Spring Festival that the 42-year-old Yan Degang has experienced since joining the work, and it will also be the 13th time he has spent Chinese New Year's Eve on the train. Yan Degang told reporters that he, like many railway people, has become accustomed to not going home for Chinese New Year's Eve, but he is full of guilt for his family.

A round-trip trip of 5,000 kilometers to the west

The Spring Festival is approaching, and while most people are rushing to go home, there is a group of people who are running away from home, and the joy of returning home is a heavy responsibility on their shoulders. On February 4, when the reporter interviewed Yan Degang, the Z273 train he was on would soon depart. The Z273 train is the only train from Qingdao to Xining, with a one-way mileage of 2,449 kilometers, passing through 21 prefecture-level cities in 7 provinces including Shandong, Jiangsu, and Anhui, and stopping at 45 stations with a running time of nearly 57 hours.

Yan Degang said that the people who run the train crew have two homes: the immobile home and the mobile home, and the mobile home is the train. The staff on the train implement a seven-hour work system, two shifts of people take turns, the Z273 train from Qingdao to Xining one-way takes nearly 28 hours, one trip, as the conductor Yan Degang on the train rest time is less than 10 hours.

Since the Spring Festival, in addition to the sharp increase in the number of passengers, many crew members have been transferred to serve on passenger trains, which has brought a lot of pressure to the train crew. Bathroom in**? What to do about dizziness in the elderly? The child is gone, where to find ......The passengers' questions were one after another, and Yan De, as the train captain, was so busy that he couldn't stop for a moment. "Some passengers even get on the train by mistake or even take the opposite train. In case of such problems, I will arrange for them to get off at the next stop, and if conditions permit, I will help them contact the next stop to make up or refund the ticket, so that their journey home will be smoother. Helping one passenger after another on the train, seeing that with the arrival and departure of the train, some people arrived at home, and some people embarked on the journey home, Yan Degang said: "As long as the passengers go home safely, my wish will be fulfilled." ”

For 13 years, I couldn't spend Chinese New Year's Eve with my family

Yan Degang, 42, has experienced 18 Spring Festivals and will spend Chinese New Year's Eve on the train for the 13th time this year. In order to let passengers traveling during the festival feel the taste of the year, every year on Chinese New Year's Eve, Yan Degang will lead the crew to paste window flowers and couplets on the carriages before the train leaves, and pull up colorful ribbons.

For not going home during the Spring Festival, Yan Degang has long been accustomed to it. He said: "Since I chose to be a member of the railway, I have long been mentally prepared. He roughly counted that at the end of the year, he only spends about 160 days at home. On Chinese New Year's Eve, Yan De would call his wife after he was busy with work. Others' Chinese New Year's Eve is to sit with their loved ones for a reunion dinner, but he expresses his longing to his family with the simplest greetings.

If I can't accompany my family for the New Year, I will definitely be homesick and feel guilty. Especially during the Spring Festival when my daughter was one year old, my wife was bedridden with a fever, but I couldn't take care of them by their side. Yan Degang said that in the face of the aggrieved messages sent by his wife, he was full of guilt and did not know how to reply. To this day, the appearance of his wife's illness at that time is still deeply in his mind.

Yan Degang's daughter is 10 years old. Because of work, from the time his daughter went to kindergarten to primary school, Yan Degang only attended one parent-teacher meeting. Every time he helps passengers take care of their children on the train, he always thinks of his daughter. "My daughter is very sensible, every time I am not at home during the Spring Festival, she will call me **, counting how many days I have been gone, and she can remember it better than her mother. Yan Degang said. In order to make his daughter happy, Yan Degang would say to his daughter every time: "Child, Dad sent the passengers home on time and without mistakes, and you study the same, you must be serious, we have completed our tasks!" ”

Although he has paid a lot to stick to his post, Yan Degang said that sacrificing a "small family" for "everyone" is not great, but only a duty. Every time he returns home, even if he is tired and sleepy, Yan Degang will accompany his family first, help with laundry and cooking, and fulfill his obligations as a father.

During the Spring Festival, Yan Degang communicated with passengers on the train.

Make travelers feel warm and warm

Yan Degang said that although the train conductor has the word "long" in his position, he actually serves the passengers on the train. Every year during the Spring Festival, Yan Degang was highly nervous, and during the journey, he had to check from the first carriage to the last carriage, from the storage of large luggage to the seating arrangement of passengers, every detail was not missed.

Yan Degang told reporters an unforgettable story about the Spring Festival. On Chinese New Year's Eve last year, train Z273 returned to Qingdao from Xining. After the train left Xining Station, Yan Degang received a notice from the 12306 customer service center that a 14-year-old girl had a conflict with her family and ran away from home alone on the Z273 train, asking him to help find the girl. Yan Degang immediately carried out a detailed investigation car by car and person by person, and finally found the little girl by checking the identity information, and his hanging heart was finally put down. He immediately called the girl's parents to report her safety and discuss the handover. Knowing that the girl hadn't eaten dinner yet, Yan Degang took the little girl to the dining car and arranged for the cook to cook a delicious meal for the little girl. Subsequently, Yan Degang and the little girl started a family routine, comforting and patiently guiding them like their own daughters. The knot in the little girl's heart slowly opened, and a smile resurfaced on her immature face. When the train arrived at Haishiwan Station, Yan Degang took the little girl off the train, and the parents of the girl who had already arrived here hugged their daughter, crying silently, choking and thanking Yan Degang repeatedly.

Pay for passengers in difficulty to pay for tickets, and provide thoughtful service ...... for the old, weak, sick and disabled passengersSuch things are too numerous for Yan Degang. "Let the travelers feel warm, but also feel warm. This is the sentence that Yan Degang tells the flight attendant the most every time he is on duty. The reporter learned that on February 9, that is, at 2:36 p.m. in Chinese New Year's Eve, Yan Degang will welcome a new group of passengers with the Z273 train and set off for the next destination ......

Conversations

Warm the way home with sincerity

Every time he goes out on Chinese New Year's Eve, Yan Degang and his colleagues will go from car to car to greet passengers, giving them gifts such as candy, New Year's cards, Chinese knots, etc., and performing poetry recitation, small chorus, writing blessing characters and other wonderful programs for passengers.

Reporter: What do you think of your work?

Yan Degang: I am just one of the thousands of railway workers, who welcome every passenger when the train door is opened and closed, accompany every journey of passengers with sincere and sincere service, and warm the way home of passengers.

Reporter: What kind of belief has kept you at your post?

Yan Degang: In my 18-year career, I can't even count the mileage I have driven, and sometimes, I have to answer the same question hundreds of times a day. But when I hear the passenger's "thank you", the exhaustion of my whole body will disappear.

Reporter: Do you have any wishes for the new year?

Yan Degang: I hope that every passenger can travel safely and encounter better scenery along the way. For me, I would like to thank my family for their support and encouragement, and I hope that I can spend more time with my family.
