Mencius during the Warring States Period said in "Born in Sorrow and Died in Peace": "Therefore, the heavens will descend on people, and they must first suffer their minds, strain their muscles and bones, starve their bodies and skins, empty their bodies, and act chaotically. ”
Mencius tells us that in order for a man to do something, he must first make his heart miserable, his muscles and bones tired, his hunger so that his skin is emaciated, he suffers from poverty, and every action he does not satisfy, so that his soul can be shaken, his temperament can be hardened, and his abilities cannot be increased.
On the road to growth, a person will encounter many difficulties. The attitude towards difficulties determines the height of a person's growth. Many of those difficulties are just difficulties in your eyes, just difficulties on your cognitive level.
If you have the opportunity to read Mencius's "Born in Sorrow and Die in Peace" and understand the connotation of what he said, it is estimated that you will have new thoughts about those difficulties, and your mentality may change somewhat.
When you realize that those difficulties, those troubles are coming to cross you, to test you, to temper you, to test you, and to go through a process that you must go through, you may be relieved.
In Buddhism, there is the word "bodhi", which mainly refers to enlightenment and wisdom. There is wisdom hidden in those difficulties, those troubles. Life-changing events often come in the guise of bad news. It's up to you to see if you have the discerning eye to identify it.
In the midst of difficulties, people's hearts are shaken, and only then can they truly feel the problem. Only when it is difficult can you understand what you really need and what kind of life is suitable for you.
Those tribulations, those difficulties, are conducive to the growth of a person's soul and to the maturity of a person. It is what makes a person.
Eventually, you will find that what you have suffered, what you have suffered, what you have endured, will not be in vain, but will actually be done for you.
Give it a thumbs up and encourage you!
