On January 18, 2024, IT Juzi, a new economy venture capital data service provider, released a series of blockbuster lists of "2023 China's New Economy Unicorn Enterprises". Since 2014, IT Orange Database has set up a "Unicorn Club" and has begun to record the development and ups and downs of Chinese unicorn companies. The "unicorn club" requires companies to have a recent valuation of US$1 billion or more, or a new round of financing of US$200 million or more than RMB1 billion. Every month and at the end of the year, IT Orange will review the existing unicorn companies to eliminate those companies that have major business problems, major negative information that affects the value of the enterprise, or companies whose business is no longer viable.

As of October 2023, a total of 75,000+ companies have participated in the event, helping more than 2,394 companies on the list to raise funds5.6 billion yuan, with a follow-up financing rate of 4925%, with a listing rate of about 1527%。
