In a remote old town, there stands an ancient mansion that has been abandoned for a long time. Inside the mansion is a huge century-old clock, which, despite the deep marks of the years carved on its surface, still holds on to its duty, striking it on time at 12 o'clock at midnight.
The townspeople all know a terrible legend that whenever the ancient clock rings, if someone lingers near the ancient house, they will be drawn into the house by an invisible force and disappear without a trace.
Tom, the new mayor of the town, scoffs at this and decides to unveil the superstition himself. Late one night, he came to the old mansion alone, waiting for the midnight bell to ring. When the bell rang as promised, with a dull and long echo, Tom felt a chill rush from the soles of his feet to the top of his head. He tried to leave, but found that his body was unable to move as if it were being absorbed by a magnet, and he could only watch as he was sucked into the mansion.
Upon entering the mansion, Tom discovers a secret room filled with the relics of the missing. And that ancient clock is connected to a portal that distorts time and space. It turns out that whenever the sun and moon alternate, the clock opens a passage to another world, swallowing up those who enter by mistake.
Since then, the old clock has struck midnight every day, and the townspeople are in awe of it and no longer go near the mansion. Tom has become another eternal warning, his name is forever engraved in the shadow of the ancient clock, along with those who have disappeared.
