Qilu.com Lightning News, February 7 On February 4, the Organization Department and the Propaganda Department selected and released 20 "most beautiful civil servants" in the country, and Zang Yundong was selected. This Xinjiang cadre from Rizhao has written a new chapter in the responsibility of township cadres in the new era with the innovative spirit of daring to be the first and serving the people wholeheartedly.
Rewind to 2020. In March of that year, Zang Yundong from Lanshan District, Rizhao City, as the tenth batch of cadres from Shandong Province to aid Xinjiang, was selected by the organization to be sent to Tumantal Township, Maigaiti County, as a member of the township party committee and deputy head of the township. From the coast of the Yellow Sea to the desert Gobi, more than 4,570 kilometers, Zang Yundong put homesickness in his heart and devoted himself to his work. In the process of research, he saw a lot of idle small ponds, which made him have a bold idea: "If these small ponds are fully utilized to breed aquatic products, it will not only enable farmers to increase their incomes and get rich, but also introduce and cultivate new industries for the local area, wouldn't it be a good way?" ”
Like every cadre in the first batch of Xinjiang aid to the township, Zang Yundong is thinking about how to help the local people find a diversified way to get rich every day. After having the idea of cultivating aquatic products, he contacted his hometown Rizhao to mail simple water quality testing equipment and began water quality monitoring for half a year. And he is well aware of the difficulties faced in starting a new industry in the desert, and he is ready to "fight a tough battle".
After half a year of follow-up monitoring, Zang Yundong was pleasantly surprised to find that the conditions of these ponds met the requirements of shrimp farming. There is no problem with water quality, so the question is, what to raise? After field investigation and careful screening, he finally selected the Australian lobster with large body and more meat, short breeding cycle, high economic value, less diseases and good market prospects as the main aquaculture species. After that, he had an in-depth exchange with Fu Ning, associate professor of the Department of Marine Technology of Rizhao Vocational and Technical College, on Australian freshwater lobster farming.
"Transplanting" lobster seedlings and breeding technology from the east to the desert Gobi seems to others to be fantastical, but Zang Yundong has done it, and the hardships are self-evident.
Project establishment, planning and design, construction and construction, the local experience is blank, water quality back to alkali, shrimp seedling transportation, wildlife stealing and other problems, he is involved in the whole process of each link, all rely on the site. "I encountered so many problems, but to be honest, I never gave up. The project has been launched, and there is no turning back from the bow. If you want to do it, you must do it to the best, and you must do it to the end! Zang Yundong said.
In October 2021, Zang Yun's eastward tilt test of "East Shrimp Westward Migration" - Australian lobster breeding in the desert was successful, filling the gap in the desert breeding of Australian lobsters in southern Xinjiang. In order to further promote and publicize lobster farming technology, he and the technical team organized a special training on lobster farming. At the same time, he also worked with aquatic experts to compile the "Australian Freshwater Lobster Farming Technical Manual", which recorded the technical indicators and operation details in detail, comprehensively summarized the breeding experience, and left a valuable wealth for the Australian lobster farming in Makati. In 2022, with the support of Shandong's Xinjiang Aid Fund, Zang Yundong will continue to rely on the technical support of the aquaculture expert team of Rizhao Vocational and Technical College to build 10 standardized Australian lobster breeding demonstration bases covering an area of 100 acres near the county seat, and carry out technology demonstration and promotion.
In April 2023, Zang Yundong, who completed the mission of aiding Xinjiang, returned to his hometown, but the Australian lobster he brought to Makati County had already made a home in the desert. At present, Maigaiti County has formed 4 large-scale breeding bases, 8 breeding points, a total of 300 acres of water surface, 300,000 breeding scale, Australian freshwater lobster aquaculture industry in southern Xinjiang gradually formed.
During his aid to Xinjiang, he often took the initiative to help the local people solve various difficulties. When he learned that the villagers' 13 tons of prunes were facing unsalable, he immediately contacted several large supermarkets in Rizhao and transported the prunes to Rizhao in two batches and arranged for them to be unloaded at the logistics center of the Rizhao Port Authority. In order to save freight for the villagers, Zang Yundong mobilized all the cadres who returned to their hometowns to visit relatives in Xinjiang, and everyone rushed to the unloading point overnight, and they were in full swing. Early the next morning, fresh prunes were distributed to Haina**, Lingyun Shopping Plaza, department stores and other shopping malls, and a "relay battle" of love to aid Xinjiang came to an end.
There are many more examples like this. According to statistics, during the aid to Xinjiang, Zang Yundong helped the local people sell a total of more than 200 tons of prunes, chestnut pumpkins and jujubes, finding a way out for the local people's backlog of agricultural products and solving their urgent needs.
Any work must be really hard-working, to really be able to bow down physically and mentally, every detail of the process must be done 100%, in order to harvest more than 70% of the results, so we must hold that success does not have to be in me, success must have my responsibility and mission. Zang Yundong said.
