Historical Turning Point Thoughts on the Huaihe River Basin and the Russian Ukrainian Battlefield

"Huge win! The most exciting strategic upheaval of the year"

On the way back from the Spring Festival, I was stuck in a traffic jam, and I couldn't help but recall the beautiful scenery of the Huaihe River Basin of my motherland, and listen to the international news of the Voice of China while appreciating. However, this traffic jam not only exhausted me, but also triggered me to think deeply about the biggest victory and major strategic turning point of the past year.

The plan was to leave on the evening of the seventh day of the Lunar New Year on February 16, and I thought that I would be able to get home on the afternoon of the eighth day of the Lunar New Year, and everything went according to plan. However, the actual situation of traffic jams is far more than I imagined. Of the four or five hundred kilometers of the journey, I only walked a dozen kilometers in four hours, which gave me a deep understanding of the pain of high-speed traffic jams. The reason is nothing more than a lot of cars, many accidents, and a group of drivers who lack quality.

Especially in the emergency lanes, I have witnessed more than 1,000 vehicles ignoring the rules and cutting into the queue at will, making ambulances impassable. This makes me deeply disturbed by people's disorderly behavior in emergency situations. Looking back on this experience, I would like to appeal to every driver to maintain their quality, obey the traffic rules, and especially not to abuse the emergency lane to leave a life passage for others.

As for the traffic jam, I think of the historical strategic position of the Huai River Basin. The Huai River basin has historically been considered a key area in the struggle for power between the north and the south. Mastering the Huaihe River valley is equivalent to mastering the commanding heights in the south. This also reminds me of the recent situation on the Russian-Ukrainian battlefield.

* Mutt, Mariupol, and Avadiivka, the three strategic towns have been captured by the Russian army one after another, and the Severodonez River basin has basically been mastered. This not only weakens Ukraine's defenses, but also makes it easier for the northern regime to harass and deplete the Ukrainian army. Similar to the southern regime that historically controlled the Huai River valley, mastering the North Donets valley was crucial to the overall war situation.

The loss of Avdeyevka meant Russia's biggest victory of the past year. This not only has far-reaching geostrategic implications, but also deals a heavy blow to the Ukrainian regime. After much deliberation, I can't help but wonder if Ukraine can still rely on Western aid to resist the pressure of the Russian army. Once aid is reduced or interrupted, the situation becomes very dangerous.

This experience of traffic jam not only gave me a deeper understanding of traffic problems, but also made me think about the international situation and strategic position. During this journey home, which was full of twists and turns, I had a clearer understanding of the historical status of the Huai River basin and the major changes in the Russian-Ukrainian battlefield. Perhaps, at this moment, we are witnessing a turning point in history, and the loss of Avdeyevka is only a key point in this battle.
