How Apple sets reminder times

Mondo Technology Updated on 2024-02-21

Setting the time of reminders on your Apple device is an intuitive process that can help you better manage your schedule and tasks. Here are the steps on how to set a time for a reminder on iOS and iPadOS devices:

Open the Reminders app: On your iPhone or iPad, find and open the Reminders app.

Create a new reminder or select an existing one

To create a new reminder, tap the "New Reminder" button at the bottom of the screen (it looks like a writing icon).

To set a time for an existing reminder, find the reminder you want to time and click it to edit.

Access the reminder's details: Tap the Info button next to the reminder (it looks like a circle with an "i" in it).

Set the date and time

On the Details page, turn on the Remind me.

Then, select "On a date" to be reminded and set a specific date and time.

You can also select "In a location" to set up location-based reminders, which will alert you when you arrive at or leave a specific location.

Repeat the settings(Optional): If you want this reminder to come back to life, you can select Repeat, and then choose how often you want it to repeat (for example, daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, yearly, or custom).

Complete the setup: Once you've set the date, time, and recurrence options, click the Done button at the top of the page to save your reminder.

Make sure that notifications for reminders are enabled on your device so that you can be notified when the reminder arrives. You can check and adjust these settings in Settings> Notifications> Reminders.

For macOS devices, the process is similar, but the operating interface may be slightly different. You'll need to open the Reminders app on your Mac and follow similar steps to set it up.

With the steps above, you can easily set specific times for reminders on your Apple device to help you better manage your personal tasks and reminders.
