Recently, the "Yangpu Travel Map - Reading Club", a special project of cultural and tourism integration under the national reading brand "Young Study" of Yangpu District Library, kicked off in Yangpu District Library. The event allows citizens to experience the charm of Chinese culture through various forms such as sharing knowledge of traditional Chinese festivals and customs, quizzes with prizes, and drawing New Year's keyword cards.
At the beginning of the event, the librarians introduced and shared the interesting customs of the Chinese New Year and the Lantern Festival, and the readers also told the folk customs of their hometown. From bustling Shanghai to mystical Fujian, to vibrant Chaoshan ......The lanterns are bright, the wandering gods are solemn, and the songs and dances are dancing, each with its own unique style. The audience felt as if they had traveled through thousands of mountains and rivers and experienced the cultural charm of different regions.
The highlight of the event is the drawing of New Year's keyword cards. Under the guidance of the librarian, each participant drew a card with a keyword written on it. "Forward", "Happiness", "Hope" ......Each card symbolizes everyone's good expectations for the new year, and also sends blessings to everyone's hearts. The people shared their reasons for choosing these words and recited the corresponding verses behind the cards. Focusing on the extracted keywords, everyone started a free gallop of thoughts. From classical poems shared by young readers to modern poems shared by adult readers, beautiful verses reverberate throughout the library.
Through this activity, many readers said that they deeply appreciated the breadth and profundity of traditional culture in different regions and felt the infinite charm of poetry. In the future, Yangpu District Library will plan more unique reading activities, build a platform for sharing and communication for the general public, create a bookish atmosphere, and light up the light of inner wisdom.
