Recently, the "Carbon as a Vision" Zero-Carbon Building Value Insight Summit was held to highlight the value and development trend of green office buildings under China's "dual carbon" policy, and at the same time launched Keppel Jing'an Centre (PAC)'s "people-oriented, towards net-zero" operating philosophy.

The office part of the project integrates the innovative concept of future office scenarios with a sustainable system to create a green, healthy and efficient office experience. The project has now completed the structural capping, the office building is expected to be completed in mid-2024, and the high-level real-life model floor will be officially opened in January 2024.

Through various sustainable measures, it is expected that the energy consumption per unit area of Keppel Jing An Centre (PAC) will be reduced to approximately 84 kWh per year after the official operation, which will also achieve an annual building energy efficiency rate of nearly 26% compared to the annual energy consumption per unit area of public buildings in Shanghai in 2021.

At present, the project has won four major industry certifications, including WELL Building Platinum Precertification, Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Green Mark Platinum Precertification, LEED Gold Precertification (LEED) and China Green Building Two-Star Certification.

In fact, helping corporate tenants achieve their ESG goals is one of Keppel Jing An Centre's (PAC) key visions. To this end, Keppel Jing An Centre (PAC) has also officially launched a Green Lease and Low Carbon Partnership Programme to build positive interactions between buildings, businesses and users, and jointly promote a sustainable future through incentives for green behaviour by businesses and individuals. In addition, the project will also provide enterprises with low-carbon office solutions, from office space planning and construction, full life cycle carbon inventory (LCA), to low-carbon office strategy suggestions and the creation of shared meeting spaces to meet the needs of enterprises for workshops, gatherings and meetings, etc., to help enterprises create rich, diverse, interconnected and convenient office destinations.
