When Qiao Ma Shan entered the temple, he found that it was pitch black inside, with only a few faint lights illuminating some Buddha statues and incense cases. Qiao Ma Shan thought to himself that this temple must have been abandoned and no one lived in it, so he found a clean place under the porch on the side, put down the firewood, and prepared to take shelter from the rain here until dawn.
Joma Shan lay on the ground, listening to the sound of the rain outside, thinking about his daughter, not knowing if she was worried about him now, so he silently prayed, hoping that Guanyin Bodhisattva would bless him to return home safely, and also to bless his daughter with health and happiness. As he spoke, Joma Shan fell asleep.
Qiao Ma Shan didn't know how long he slept, suddenly felt a gust of wind blowing, he opened his eyes, and found that he didn't know when he walked to the front of the Buddha hall in the main hall, the lights in the Buddha hall were bright, and a golden statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva was sitting on the lotus platform, looking at him with a kind smile.
Qiao Ma Shan was so surprised that he couldn't speak, he didn't know how he got here, and he didn't know why this statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva was shining, he only felt an inexplicable warmth and peace of mind welling up in his heart, he couldn't help but kneel on the ground, kowtowed three times respectfully, and said: "Nan Wu Guanyin Bodhisattva, **Qiao Ma Shan, got lost due to the rain today, strayed into your temple, no intention to offend, please forgive the Bodhisattva." ”
As soon as Qiao Mashan finished speaking, he heard a pleasant voice ringing in his ears: "Qiao Mashan, you are a kind person, I already know your wishes, you don't have to worry, your daughter is fine, she is waiting for you to come home." Since you are destined to come here, I will give you a chance to meet a destined person, she will be your virtuous helper, and you will be happy and grow old together. ”
When Qiao Mashan heard this, he couldn't help but burst into tears with excitement, he raised his head and wanted to see the person who spoke clearly, but found that the statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva had been restored to its original state, without sound or light, just sitting there quietly, as if everything just now was a dream.
Qiao Ma Shan didn't know if he was dreaming, he rubbed his eyes, looked at the statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva again, and felt that everything was very real, so he sincerely bowed three times again, and said: "Thank you for the Bodhisattva's compassion, ** must live up to the Bodhisattva's expectations, be a kind person, honor your parents, take care of your wife, educate your children, and repay the society." ”
After saying that, Qiao Mashan got up, returned to his firewood, and lay down again, his heart was full of gratitude and expectation, he thought about the person who the Bodhisattva said, he didn't know who she was, when he would meet her, he prayed silently in his heart, hoping to see her as soon as possible, know and love her, and spend his life together.
The next morning, when the rain stopped and the sky cleared, Qiao Mashan woke up and saw the sun outside, so he packed up his firewood and prepared to leave. He walked to the front of the Buddha hall again, bowed three times to the statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva, thanked the Bodhisattva for his grace, and then pushed open the temple door and walked out.
As soon as Qiao Ma Shan walked out of the temple gate, he saw a carriage parked on the side of the road, and a young woman was sitting in the car, she was wearing a plain dress and a plain hat, covering most of her face, revealing only a pair of bright eyes, just to see Qiao Ma Shan.
Qiao Mashan also saw her, he felt that her eyes were very familiar, as if he had seen it in **, he couldn't help but look at her more, his heart moved, and he faintly felt that she was the person she was destined to say by the Bodhisattva.

It turned out that this woman's name was Lin Wan, she was the daughter of a wealthy businessman in the city, she was smart and beautiful since she was a child, she was favored by her parents, and she was also pursued by many people. But she is not interested in those who only value her looks and wealth, and she longs to find someone who truly loves her and can share her ups and downs.
Lin Wan's father, Master Lin, in order to find a good in-law for his daughter, once invited a fortune teller to tell Lin Wan's fortune, the fortune teller said that Lin Wan's marriage is extraordinary, her husband is a poor and kind person, they will meet in an ancient temple, their marriage will be blessed by Guanyin Bodhisattva, they will be happy, and grow old together.

Lin Wan was very dissatisfied with this marriage contract, she didn't want to marry someone she didn't love, she wanted to escape and find her true love, but she couldn't bear to hurt her parents, so she thought hard and didn't know what to do.
At this time, she heard the news that a temple was holding a puja for Guanyin Bodhisattva, and invited many good men and women to visit and ask for the Bodhisattva's blessing. Lin Wan thought to herself that this was an opportunity, maybe she could go to the temple and ask the Bodhisattva to show her a clear path, or let her meet the fortune teller who was destined.
So, Lin Wan made the excuse that she was going to attend the puja and asked her parents to agree to her going out, so she took some things with her, got into a carriage, and walked in the direction of the temple.
She prayed along the way, hoping that the Bodhisattva would listen to her heart and let her find her own happiness. When she arrived at the temple, she found that the temple was overcrowded, she had to wait outside, she saw the door of the temple with four big characters written on the "Guanyin Zen Temple", her heart moved, remembering the ancient temple that the fortune teller said, I don't know if it is here.
At this moment, she saw Qiao Ma Shan coming out of the temple, her heart was shocked, she felt that he was the person she was looking for, she got out of the carriage, walked over, and called softly: "Hello, sir." ”
Qiao Mashan heard the voice, turned his head, and saw Lin Wan's face, he was so surprised that he couldn't speak, he felt that she was the person who the Bodhisattva said, so he took a step forward, smiled slightly, and said, "Hello, Miss." ”
The eyes of the two looked at each other, as if there was a magical power that connected them together, they both felt each other's hearts, and they both knew that the other party was their true love.
At this moment, there was a bell in the temple, and a monk came out, saw them, and said with a smile: "Good, good, you two are destined people, today is the birthday of Guanyin Bodhisattva, the Bodhisattva has appeared, give you a marriage, are you willing to become husband and wife, and work together to correct the results?" ”
Qiao Mashan and Lin Wan glanced at each other, and both saw the firmness and happiness in each other's eyes, so they said in unison: "Yes." ”
When the monk heard this, he said happily: "Okay, good, good, then please come with me, I will hold a simple wedding for you, let you become a legal husband and wife, and let Guanyin Bodhisattva witness your marriage, bless you to grow old together and marry forever." ”
After speaking, the monk led them into the temple, and when they arrived in front of the Buddha hall, they worshiped Guanyin Bodhisattva three times, and then let them bow nine times, announced that they had become husband and wife, and put on a pair of Buddhist beads made of red thread as a token of marriage.
Qiao Ma Shan and Lin Wan gratefully bowed to Guanyin Bodhisattva again, and then hugged each other, their hearts were full of joy and touch, they felt that they were the happiest people in the world, they thanked the Bodhisattva for his gifts, and also thanked each other for their appearance, they believed that their love was a match made in heaven and was eternal.
In this way, Qiao Ma Shan and Lin Wan became husband and wife, they left the temple and returned to Qiao Ma Shan's home, Qiao Ma Shan's daughter Qiao Jiao saw Lin Wan and quickly liked her and regarded her as her mother, Lin Wan also loved Qiao Jiao very much, and regarded her as her own daughter, and their family of three lived a happy life.
