In 2020, China and Myanmar signed the Protocol on Quarantine and Health Requirements for Slaughtering Cattle Exported from Myanmar to China, and the China-Myanmar cross-border beef cattle project entered the fast lane of development.
It has signed a cooperation agreement with relevant departments of Yunnan Province and various prefectures and cities to "build a 100-billion-level beef cattle industry", and built a "plateau beef cattle industry demonstration park" from a high starting point to form a complete beef cattle industry chain integrating scientific research, breeding, breeding, breeding cattle expansion and feed processing, and control 9 10,000-head breeding cow farms in Yunnan within two years, and breed and manage 100,000 beef cattle.
