Which foreigners need a work visa?
The two common common types are:

Note: Sole proprietorships and other individually-owned businesses are not allowed to employ foreigners. )
The work visa we often talk about is actually two documents, the foreigner's work permit (approved and issued by the Bureau of Foreign Experts of the Science and Technology Bureau) and the work residence permit (issued by the entry and exit approval). These two documents are necessary for foreigners to legally work and reside in China.
How can foreigners work legally in China?
According to Article 41 of the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Administration of Exit and Entry, when a foreigner works in China, he or she shall obtain a work permit and a work residence permit in accordance with the regulations. Foreigners who have not obtained a work permit or a work residence permit are not allowed to employ any unit or individual.
What are the application materials for applying for a foreigner's work permit?
1.Application Form for Work Permit for Foreigners in China.
Fill in and print online, sign (copy or fax) of the applicant, and upload it to the system with the official seal of the employer.
2.Work Qualifications.
The applicant's original work unit shall issue a certificate of work experience related to the current employment position, including the job position, working hours or projects that have been done, and the applicant's original work unit shall affix the official seal or the signature of the person in charge, and keep a certificate of effective contact with the contact person** or email.
3.Academic (Academic) Certificate or relevant approval documents, Vocational Qualification Certificate.
Those who have obtained a degree (diploma) certificate abroad shall be certified by the Chinese embassy or consulate in China or a Chinese academic qualification certification agency, or the applicant shall obtain a degree (academic degree).
Those who have obtained degree (academic) certificates in the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions and Taiwan shall be certified by China's academic qualification certification agency or notarized by a local notary public.
For those who have obtained a degree (degree) certificate in China, only the original academic (degree) certificate and the electronic registration and filing form of the academic certificate of the Ministry of Education of the Ministry of Education shall be provided.
China's laws and regulations stipulate that if the competent department of the industry shall approve in advance or has the corresponding professional qualifications for admission in China, it shall provide the documents or professional qualification certificates approved by the competent department of the industry.
Note: If there is a foreign qualification certificate, it shall be authenticated by the Chinese embassy or consulate abroad, or the original shall be authenticated by the embassy or consulate of the country where the qualification certificate is located or notarized by a notary public. Those who have obtained professional qualification certificates in the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions and Taiwan Province shall have the original notarized by a local notary public.
4.No criminal record certificate.
The applicant's country of nationality or the police, security, court and other departments where the applicant resides shall issue and be authenticated by our embassies and consulates abroad or by foreign embassies and consulates in China. Certificates of no criminal record issued by the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions and Taiwan Province shall be notarized by a local notary office. Habitual residence refers to the country or region where the applicant has resided continuously for more than one year after leaving the country of nationality, excluding China. A clean criminal record should be issued within 6 months.
5.Medical examination certificate.
The physical examination record certificate or health examination certificate of overseas personnel issued by the Chinese inspection and quarantine authority, or the physical examination certificate issued by the overseas health medical institution recognized by the Chinese inspection and quarantine authority, shall be issued within 6 months.
Note: The commitment system can be adopted before entering the country. When applying for the "Foreigner's Work Permit of the People's Republic of China" after entering the country, the applicant shall submit the certificate of physical examination record or health examination certificate issued by the inspection and quarantine authority in China.
6.Employment contract or proof of employment (including letter of dispatch from a multinational company).
The employment contract or proof of employment (including the dispatch letter of the multinational company) should include the work location, work content, salary, working hours in China, position, and the necessary content of the stamped page (signature).
Proof of incumbency is applicable to personnel who execute agreements or agreements between ** and international organizations, chief representatives and representatives of various representative offices in China, and overseas contract service providers.
The dispatch letter is applicable to the situation where the headquarters or regional headquarters of the multinational company works for a position in a domestic subsidiary or branch, such as an overseas dispatch manager or technical personnel, which is issued by the headquarters or regional headquarters of the multinational company.
7.Passport.
The passport must be valid for at least 6 months.
8.Headless within 6 months**.
If you have to wear accessories such as a hat or headscarf for religious reasons, you should ensure that they do not obscure the entire applicant's face.
9.Supporting documents of the accompanying family.
The documents include the accompanying family passport information page, proof of family relationship (spouse-marriage certificate, child-child birth certificate or adoption certificate, parent or spouse-parent - applicant's birth certificate or marriage certificate or notarized certificate), etc.
10.Other materials.
Note: Except for passports, non-Chinese certification materials must be translated into Chinese and stamped with the official seal of the employer.
