According to the Xinhua News Agency, India recently sent a naval submarine to visit Sri Lanka, and at this time, on Sri Lanka's independence day, dozens of Sri Lankan naval personnel held a warm welcome ceremony to the Indian army's visit, and the two sides held talks on the ship.
Originally, it was just an ordinary visit, which was not unusual, but it was hyped by the Indian media without a lower limit, and India ** claimed that this visit was a symbol of India's "defeat of China". 
Seeing this, I believe everyone is confused, even if Sri Lanka is very enthusiastic about the arrival of India, it is also a diplomatic exchange between the two countries, why is it suddenly involved with China again? And unashamedly say that it can be seen that India has defeated China, what is going on?
This has to start with India's high-minded "sense of superiority," which claims to be the hegemon of South Asia, often squeezes the interests of neighboring countries, and points fingers at South Asian countries.
India and China have many similarities, and they like to compare themselves with China everywhere, but with the rapid development of China's economy, India is obviously backward and very unbalanced, so it blames China for its failures and incompetence.
Therefore, when some countries in South Asia intersect with China, India will improvise the intervention and threaten that these countries can only choose between India and China. 
Last month, for example, a Chinese research vessel was ready to dock near Sri Lankan ports with Sri Lanka's permission, but was prevented by India.
India has vigorously promoted the "China threat theory" and advocated that China will conduct "monitoring activities" in Sri Lankan waters to threaten maritime security. Under pressure from India, Sri Lanka reneged on its promise to China and decided not to allow Chinese research vessels to dock at its ports for a year, so much so that China's survey program, which was scheduled to be carried out on January 5 this year, could not be carried out.
But it is worth mentioning that there is one country that has openly said "no" to India, and that is the Maldives, which India calls its "back garden".
It is reported that less than two months after taking office, the Maldives broke the tradition of more than 10 years in the past, crossed India to visit China, and directly had a showdown with India, demanding that India withdraw its troops and safeguard the sovereignty of the Maldives.
It can be seen that not all countries have succumbed to India's intimidation, and as Sino-Malaysian relations have warmed, the Chinese research ship "Xiangyanghong 03" also arrived in the Maldives on February 8 for a visit.
Therefore, some people believe that the reason why India played up "defeating China" at this time and pulled together the things that could not be beaten by the eight poles was just its own "dream of a great power".
Since the Maldives has gone from being subordinate to India to now striving for sovereignty, and then to its increasingly close relations with China, India is naturally unhappy.
To some extent, this proves that India's regional hegemonic foreign policy is unpopular, and India, in order to save face, has put its pathetic self-confidence in Sri Lanka, which is obedient to the arrangement, and can only seek some comfort from here.
In response, China's spokesman Wang Wenbin said that Sri Lanka is a sovereign country, and India's coercion of Sri Lanka to obstruct cooperation with China is a danger to others.
Subsequently, China began to strike hard at India, and China continued to impose anti-dumping duties on India's anti-dumping products, so that India could understand that cooperation is based on the principle of mutual respect and mutual benefit.
