Founded in 1995, the Association of Former Chinese Diplomats is composed of former Chinese leaders, retired ambassadors, counselors and other diplomats at all levels, with more than 2,500 members. In July 2006, the United Nations Economic and Social Council officially approved the Chinese Association of Former Diplomats as a non-governmental organization with special consultative status.

2. The Association of Former Chinese Diplomats promotes domestic and foreign exchanges and expands mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields
The Association of Former Diplomats of China takes advantage of the diplomatic resources of its members to promote domestic and foreign exchanges, expand mutually beneficial cooperation in the fields of economy and trade, science and technology, culture and education, and serve the implementation of China's strategy of "going out" and "inviting in". Senior diplomats of the Association of Former Diplomats of China play a high-level advisory role in these areas. In the spirit of "carrying out exchanges, enhancing understanding, developing friendship and promoting cooperation", the Association of Former Diplomats of China has successfully held seven large-scale friendship activities of the "Spring of Diplomats", attended by state leaders, ministers in charge of diplomacy and commerce, envoys and entrepreneurs in China, and at the same time, the "Sino-foreign Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum" was held on the platform of the Association to integrate the content of economic and trade exchanges. The "Spring of Diplomats" has become an event with important influence in Beijing's diplomatic circles.
3. The Association of Former Chinese Diplomats will build a platform for internal and external exchanges
In order to facilitate services, provide information, matchmaking, and build an internal and external exchange platform, the Association has set up "Beijing Wuzhou Jinqiao Consulting Co., Ltd.", which provides information consulting services to domestic large and medium-sized enterprises, first-class departments and other industrial units, and accepts the service needs of foreign countries, companies and enterprises to explore the Chinese market and find partners. The company has independent legal personality, operates independently, and implements the general manager responsibility system.
