Guizhou has just experienced a catastrophe, the Bijie mountain fire has been burning for 4 consecutive days since February 18th, and everyone knows nothing, all of them are gossiping about the female teacher's cheating on students. The wildfire burned more than a dozen mountains in a row, as if fire dragons were dancing in the night sky. Many families have suffered enormous losses as a result, with the blazing wildfires in front and brightly lit homes in the back, and the situation is extremely critical. Rescue forces were quickly organized, and firefighters rushed to the front line, repeatedly rushing into the fire to extinguish the fire, regardless of their personal safety. In the end, with the joint efforts of everyone, the open fire was successfully extinguished. However, sadly, two 20-year-old firefighters have tragically lost their lives and left us forever. Such a sacrifice was too great, and they fought for many days in a row, exhausted, and even did not eat a drop of water for two days and one night. Even so, after the fire was extinguished, they still refused to relax, repeatedly looking for the remaining ** points on the hot mountain to ensure safety.
In the face of this wildfire, we have to think deeply about the reasons behind it. After investigation, the wildfire was actually caused by a 57-year-old man, Dong, who burned weeds. At around 9 a.m. on February 18, he went up to the mountain vegetable field to pick vegetables, swept the leaves and weeds together and burned them with matches. However, he left the scene without carefully checking whether the fire was completely extinguished. Due to the strong winds on the mountain, the remnants of the fire ignited the dry leaves, which eventually led to this tragedy. At present, Dong is criminally detained by the public security organs for the crime of arson.
This wildfire reminds us once again that the human factor is the main cause of wildfires. According to statistics, 97% of wildfires in China are caused by humans. If everyone can improve their safety awareness and eliminate hidden dangers, the vast majority of forest fires can be avoided. For example, burning paper at the grave is a traditional way of sacrifice in China, but negligence in the process of burning paper can lead to mountain fires. Although some places have banned burning paper in the mountains, this method is too simple and crude, which is not conducive to the continuation of traditional culture. Therefore, we need to find more reasonable ways to restrain this behavior in a way that is both safe and respectful of traditional culture.
In addition, ignition weeding and wild smoking are also important causes of wildfires. We can't leave anything to chance, because a small move can lead to huge losses. We need to work together to raise awareness of safety, and everyone has a role to play. Only when everyone acts together and increases publicity efforts to make more people aware of the dangers of wildfires can we effectively prevent similar disasters from happening. May the wildfires dissipate as soon as possible, and there will be no such disasters in the future, and all wishes will be safe.
