The 17-4PH alloy is a unique precipitated, hardened, martensitic stainless steel composed of a variety of elements such as copper, niobium, and columbia. After heat treatment, the mechanical properties of this alloy have been greatly improved, and it is able to withstand pressures up to 1100-1300MPa (160-190ksi).
