In October of the third year of Gaozong Jianyan (1129), Jin Wushu led his troops south again. The defense of Du Chong in Tokyo was cowardly and incompetent, and the Song army's river defense completely collapsed. The Jin soldiers crossed the Yangtze River with victory and besieged Jiankang, but Du Chong abandoned the city and fled, and then surrendered the gold.
Han Shizhong originally stationed troops in Zhenjiang, the Song army was defeated, and he also retreated to Jiangyin, the former army was stationed in Qinglong Town, the Chinese army was stationed in Jiangwan, and the rear army was stationed in Haikou. Gaozong summoned Han Shizhong and wanted to ask him to escort him to flee south. Han Shizhong said: "The enemy army will definitely not last long in the south of the Yangtze River, I am willing to lead the troops to stay in the Yangtze River area, to cut off the gold soldiers to return the way, and fight to the death." Zhao Gou Xu Zhi.
On the occasion of the Shangyuan Festival, Han Shizhong deliberately held a meeting in Xiuzhou to confuse the Jin people, but secretly led troops to Zhenjiang. At this time, Jin Bing decided to lead troops back to the north for various reasons. In March, the Jin army reached Zhenjiang, but Han Shizhong's soldiers had already arrived first, Tunjiaoshan Temple, and the Jin army's return to the north was prevented. Wushu died and wrote a letter about Han Shizhong's battle, and Han Shizhong agreed. On the appointed day, the Song army took the lead, and Mrs. Liang personally beat the drum to urge the battle, and the Jin soldiers were defeated and could not cross the river. Jin Wushu had no plan to return to the north, so he had to express his willingness to send all the treasures looted in Jiangnan to the Han army, and begged to let a road go north, but Han Shizhong did not allow it. Jin Wushu died and was willing to sacrifice a famous horse to seek a way to return, but Han Shizhong still did not agree. At this time, there were Jin soldiers from Huaidong to help Wushumang. The reinforcements were in Jiangbei, the Wushu army was in Jiangnan, and Han Shizhong was separated by warships, so that the Song and Jin armies fought while marching, and Han Shizhong finally forced the Jin army to Huangtiandang (now northeast of Nanjing, Jiangsu).
Jin Wushu was poor and asked to see Han Shizhong, and Han Shizhong saw him. Wushu died and begged for mourning, Han Shizhong said: "If you return me to the Second Emperor Huiqin and the personnel of the two palaces, and restore my previous territory, you can be let go and return to the north." "There is no way to stop it. A few days later, Wushu asked for another meeting, and his words were disrespectful, Han Shizhong wanted to shoot him with a bow, and Wushu galloped away. After returning to the camp, Wushu consulted on how to break the enemy, and some Fujian people suggested digging a canal to lead directly to the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. Jin Wushu adopted his plan and sent troops to dig a ditch for 30 miles overnight, and then led the army out of Huangtiandang. However, Han Shizhong found out in time that he was not reluctant to chase after him, and the Jin soldiers still did not succeed in crossing the river. The Jin army went to Jiankang, and Han Shizhong's soldiers were stationed in the Yangtze River outside the city. In late April, Wushu adopted the strategy of the Fujian people, out of a light boat close to the Song army's big ship, and then shot the Song boat canopy sail with an arrow with fire, the arrow rained like rain, the Song boat **, and the ship was windless and difficult to act, the Jin army took advantage of the situation to attack the Song army, the Song generals Sun Shixun and Yan Yun were killed, and the Song army was defeated and retreated for 70 miles. Jin Wushu hurriedly led his troops across the Jiangbei to return.
In this battle, Han Shizhong fought with 8,000 people and 100,000 soldiers, skillfully taking advantage of the terrain and the length of the water battle of the southern Song army, and held on to the Jin soldiers for about 40 days. Although he finally returned to the north, the former majesty of the Jin army was swept away, and ugliness was repeated. Later, after Wushu died and returned to the north, every time he met his relatives and talked about this battle, he "held each other in tears, and complained that it was almost inevitable to cross the river". According to history, after the Jin army fought this battle, "did not dare to return to the river", and the Song and Jin battlefields were also transferred to concentrate on the Lianghuai and Lianghe areas in the north of the Jiangbei.
