I'm here to send health
Chronic headache is a common condition that seriously affects the quality of life of patients. Today, I'm going to share with you a self-massage method that helps relieve chronic headaches by unblocking the meridians of the head in three steps.
First, we need to understand the causes of chronic headaches. Chronic headaches are mostly caused by congestion of the meridians of the head and poor flow of qi and blood. According to TCM theory, there are two types of headaches: external and internal. External headaches are mostly caused by wind, cold, dampness, heat and other external evils invading the head meridians; Internal injury headaches are related to emotional discomfort, improper diet, overwork and other factors. Therefore, dredging the meridians of the head and regulating qi and blood is the key to relieving chronic headaches.
Next, let's learn the self-massage method. The three steps are: rubbing the temples, pinching the Fengchi acupoints, and massaging the Baihui acupoints.
1.Rub the temples: The temples are located on the sides of the head, between the tips of the eyebrows and the outer canthus, about a finger backwards. Use your index or middle finger to gently rub your temples with pressure to create a feeling of soreness. Knead for about 1 minute each time, 3-5 times a day.
The temples are one of the commonly used acupuncture points for headaches, and rubbing the temples can relieve symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, and eye strain. The temples belong to the gallbladder meridian, and rubbing can relieve depression and reconcile qi and blood.
2.Pinch the Feng Chi Point: The Feng Chi point is located on the neck, when the lower edge of the occipital bone, the depression of the sternocleidomastoid muscle. Use your thumb and forefinger to gently pinch the Feng Chi acupoint with a force to produce a feeling of soreness. Pinch for about 1 minute each time, 3-5 times a day.
Fengchi acupoint is an important acupuncture point for headaches, and pinching Fengchi acupoint can dispel wind and relieve the surface, and reconcile qi and blood. The Fengchi acupoint belongs to the gallbladder meridian, which echoes with the temples and jointly regulates the head meridians.
3.Massage Baihui Acupoint: Baihui Acupoint is located in the center of the top of the head, when the tips of the ears are connected to the junction of the hair. Use your index or middle finger to gently massage the Baihui acupoint with a force to produce a feeling of soreness. Each massage lasts about 1 minute, 3-5 times a day.
Baihui acupoint is an important acupuncture point for headache, dizziness, insomnia and other symptoms. Massaging the Baihui acupoints can dredge the meridians of the head, reconcile qi and blood, and enhance yang energy. Baihui acupoint belongs to the Du Mai, which is the meeting of the sun, and has the effect of regulating the yang meridians of the whole body.
Through the above three steps of self-massage, chronic headaches can be effectively relieved. However, in the actual operation process, it is necessary to adjust the intensity and frequency according to the individual's physique and condition. In addition, maintaining good lifestyle habits, such as eating a reasonable diet, exercising moderately, and maintaining a happy mood, are also important measures to prevent and relieve chronic headaches.
Finally, I would like to remind everyone that while self-massage can relieve chronic headaches, it is not a substitute for medicine**. If your headache symptoms are severe or continue to worsen, seek medical attention promptly to avoid delaying your condition.
