Shengbang Microelectronics launched the level translator SGM4565, which is widely used in smartphones, portable devices and other SIM card terminals. The SGM4565 has been certified for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 platform and has received Qualcomm's highest recommended rating - Gold.

The SGM4565 has a dual-power design that can be used for Data, CLK, and RESET signal conversion between the baseband processor (host) and the user identification module (SIM card). The host side of the product supports 12V IO voltage, host side power supply range 108v to 198V, SIM card side power supply range 162v to 36v。

The ISO7816-3 specification clearly divides the SIM card working voltage into three levels: 1) Class A 5V power supply; 2) Class B 3V power supply; 3) Class C 18V power supply. The SIM card level translator SGM4565 launched by Shengbang Microelectronics supports Class B (3.).0v 10%) and Class C (18V 10%)SIM card interface standard. In addition to this, the SGM4565 has bidirectional IO, unidirectional CLK, and RST channels. Figure 1 shows a typical application circuit for the SGM4565.

The SGM4565 is designed with EN control pins that can be used to control the on-on and off-timing of signals on the SIM side. When the VCCA and VCCB voltages are normally powered, if the EN signal changes from low to high, the RST, CLK, and IO channels on the SIM card side are enabled at the same time and start to transmit data, and the typical response time is 2 s. If the EN signal changes from high to low, the RST, CLK, and IO signal channels on the SIM side will be disabled in turn, and the corresponding ports will also be pulled down by the internal pull-down resistor on the chip, where the shutdown timing interval of the RST SIM, CLK SIM, and IO SIM is typically 4 s, and the entire shutdown process lasts about 85μs。The timing design follows the ISO7816-3 design code, which ensures proper booting and disabling of the SIM card.
