On February 5, the Suizhou section of Fuyin Expressway in Hubei Province was temporarily stranded due to ice and snow congestion. Shu Ming, deputy director of the Suizhou County Bureau of Culture and Tourism, and several staff members rushed to the toll gate to provide free hot water and food for passengers temporarily stranded on the expressway.
Jiupai News contacted Shu Ming, who said that he had prepared hot water, 1,000 servings of warm babies, 1,000 servings of instant noodles, sausages, milk, eggs and a pot the night before. The next morning, I put the pot on the highway intersection and cook noodles for everyone to eat.
Just did a trivial little thing. Shu Ming said that he wanted to let everyone feel that the world is warm and the city is also very warm.

Dialogue with Shu Ming.
[1] There were about a few hundred people waiting anxiously
Jiupai News: How did you come up with the idea of going to the toll gate to provide hot water and food for passengers?
Shu Ming:On the evening of February 4th, I saw the news that during this time, the country was raining and snowing, and the weather was relatively cold, so I was more worried about the passengers in our Suizhou section. Everyone will be warmer after eating, and you can also comfort everyone and let everyone feel a little warm.
Jiupai News: What are you preparing?
Shu Ming:At 10 p.m. on February 4th, we prepared 1,000 buckets of instant noodles, 1,000 eggs, 1,000 cakes, 1,000 bubble greens (local vegetables), ham sausages, milk and 1,000 warm babies.
And everyone must be short of hot water, so we prepared a stove, and the next morning, directly at the highway entrance, we cooked noodles for everyone to eat.
Jiupai News: What was the situation at the scene in the morning?
Shu Ming:There are still passengers this morning (5th), some vehicles have broken down, and there are hundreds of people waiting to return to their hometowns. They are anxious in the car, either worrying that the car is running out of gas, or they want to eat something hot.
Jiupai News: What was the reaction of the passengers?
Shu Ming:Many people say that they are happy to finally have a bite of a hot meal. The Chinese New Year is just a few days away, and everyone's hearts are written on their faces, and I was infected by them at that time, and they applauded me.
I felt that I had done something insignificant, but I didn't expect to be so highly recognized by them. Maybe this is really the time when they need help the most.
Jiupai News: What are the memorable moments?
Shu Ming:Two children came up, an 8-year-old girl and her 7-year-old brother, and said uncle, I want to eat 4 bowls of noodles, and their parents were in the car, and the two children came over to get noodles.
I asked and found out that they were going to Wenzhou because the car broke down and they had been staying here for two days. Because the surrounding area is a little far from the town, and it is also a little far from our city, so I have been waiting for a hot meal without eating. They said it was the best food they've had in the past two days.
The weather was bitterly cold, but it was only temporary, and we are sure that we will be able to overcome it. Through the efforts of the past few days, everyone is now returning to their hometowns one after another.

[2] This world is still very warm
Jiupai News: What are your thoughts about doing this?
Shu Ming:I don't think it's worth mentioning. We also hope that through our small actions, people can feel the enthusiasm of our city.
Jiupai News: What did you say to the passengers?
Shu Ming:After all, on the way home for the Chinese New Year, the ice and snow weather is still very unsafe, and I also told passengers at the scene that they must pay attention to safety when driving, and they must return home safely.
Jiupai News: Many local netizens in Suizhou said that under the premise of ensuring safety, they also spontaneously prepared hot meals and hot water for car owners on the highway. Have you seen them?
Shu Ming:They also prepared a lot of milk, instant noodles, eggs, and drinks. After sending it out, many volunteers contacted us through social media and sent a message saying they wanted to come over.
At that time, our highway had just been unblocked, and at about 11 o'clock, quite a lot of people came, and we were all very moved, and we felt that there were many loving people around us.
Jiupai News: What else do you want to say to you?
Shu Ming:I want to make everyone feel that the world is still very warm, and the city is still very warm. When you encounter difficulties, there will always be a group of people who will appear by your side, believe in time, believe in love, and believe in warmth.
