Time Management Rules:
Someone asked me today, "How do you have time to read so many books?" Here's my answer.
I think the most important thing in time management is to learn to say "no". What you choose not to do is more important than what you choose to do.
I don't say hello or introduce myself in meetings. These take a lot of time and are often very inefficient. I usually refuse outright, even to the point where it is "impolite" to ordinary people. For example, if I send the article "Communication Skills from CZ" directly to people (implying that they don't like wasting time), it may be rude, but it saves me time.
I like to be concise and clear. That leaves time for other things. If something can be summarized, it just needs to be summarized.
I keep most meetings under 15 minutes, even if they're face-to-face. And at the very beginning I would have indicated that I only had 15 minutes.
I will not attend meetings that do not necessarily require me to attend. I didn't just listen, I asked for a synopsis that I could read in 30 seconds.
I don't make small talk, whether it's at work or in private space, online or in real life. I always ask directly "what do you want me to do?" "If the other person doesn't take action, I end or ignore the conversation. I'm not chatting for fun.
I would leave chat groups where I was no longer needed, either at work or privately. This way I have one less thing to click on. One less notification, one less pop-up.
I don't socialize much either. I'm not a "social hub" and I don't keep in touch with a lot of people. My social circle is small. I make sure to have some "hubs" (people with a wide social circle) in my social circle. I get in touch with some people through them when I need them.
I do socialize with a few friends, but probably much less often than most.
I don't shop, I hate it. I buy most of my stuff online, and in bulk. Buy 10 pairs of pants, shirts, socks, etc. of the same style at once. Most of the purchases are one of the top 5 recommendations in the search results, or are recommended by AI based on my spending preferences so that I don't have to think about it.
I don't cook (talent issue). I ordered one of the first three things I saw on the menu, and I didn't order for more than 10 seconds. I prefer fast food to a "French romantic dinner". Sorry France, it's not a matter of taste, it's just a matter of time. I always ask French chefs to serve "all the dishes" at once and try to ignore the offended expressions on their faces.
I don't tidy up my room, table, or suitcase, so it's always a mess.
I don't watch the news unless someone sends me a link. Even so, I just glanced at it in 10 seconds. I'm a fast reader.
I don't watch sports unless we have sponsorships, like CR7 or Argentina to the World Cup, in fact I only watched the last game of the World Cup on TV, a good one. I knew I had to give up something to make up for the time.
I don't watch TV. I used to watch a lot of movies, but now, I find most movies boring, maybe because I'm getting older.
I don't brush Tik Tok, ** push, etcFor my back pain problem, I follow some "osteopath chiropractic workout" type accounts on Instagram, so I am motivated to do some simple exercises every day.
I do spend quite a bit of time on Twitter and also write a few blogs.
I don't listen**. I also hate being **noisy** in restaurants or meeting places. I always tell them to be quiet. I liked the quiet place.
Basically, I'm a very, very boring person.
I listen to books. I listen to books in the shower and brush my teeth, and of course when I go to the toilet. When I'm in the car, at the airport, I listen to books. I listen to a book for an hour or so a day before going to bed (that alone is easily up to one book a week). The place where I spend the most time listening to books is on the plane. If I get inspired, I'll try to write a blog or something. When I'm tired, I only listen to books. I can listen to 2-3 books on a long flight. I fly everywhere a lot and last year I was in the air for 600 hours.
Most of the time I use 2Listen at 5x the speed (you'll get used to it after a while). The average time to finish listening to most books is about 4 hours.
How do I choose my books? Some were recommended by friends. Some were recommended by the AI based on my reading preferences.
For books I don't like, once I realize I don't like them, I don't listen to them anymore. I didn't finish most of the books I bought.
I listen to my favorite books several times and buy a Kindle version to read.
Time is the most limited resource, and knowledge is the most powerful lever. Don't trade time for anything that isn't important.
Communication skills (Note: the original text is English, no Chinese, translated by Cai Dad):
If you just say "hi" and then there's no more;
Or something like this:
Can I meet with you? ”
But no agenda is given;
Or: "I want to meet you for a partnership"."Let's have an introductory session", but without specifics, then you probably won't hear back from me. You may be directed to this article. I want to be efficient with my time, even if it may be a little rude.
Therefore, please try to answer the following questions directly and concisely:
I am(In one sentence, not a large paragraph of text).
What do you want me to do?
What can you offer?
Please try to answer within the length of a paragraph. If your first message is too long, it may be overlooked by me.
There are a few more suggestions:
Don't sell me projects. Please send it to: (Translator's note: e-mail information, abbreviated, the same below).
For listings, launchpads, and launchpools, please apply.
For events and ** interviews, please contact our PR team at: (omitted).
If you have a large number of cryptocurrency buying and selling needs, please contact (omitted). For more information, please contact the OTC seat.
For most things on Binance, going through me might be slow. I don't do much.
Hope you won't be offended. Let's communicate efficiently. Blessing!
