Nowadays, families pay too much attention to their children's academic performance, resulting in many children being burdened with heavy academic pressure from an early age and losing the vitality that teenagers should have. When we step out of school and into the workplace, we will feel more and more the importance of personality and talent in the workplace. Work is not the whole of life, having a hobby or specialty can bring mental adjustment to life and relieve the pressure of life. Only by changing the way of education from an early age can children show their personality and talents. So, how to cultivate children's interests and talents?
On the one hand, respecting the child's personality and talents is key. Every child is unique, with different interests and talents. For example, some children may have a special passion for **, some children have extraordinary talents in sports, and some children show a strong interest in cultural classes. As parents, we should carefully observe and respect children's interests and give them freedom of choice. If your child is obsessed with drawing, give them brushes and paper instead of forcing them to learn the piano. Let your child fly freely in the field they are passionate about, so they can truly show their personality and talents.
On the other hand, it is also important to encourage children to have the courage to explore new things. Curiosity is in children's nature, and we should encourage them to be brave enough to experiment and explore the unknown. Through continuous experimentation and exploration, children not only develop a spirit of innovation, but also have the opportunity to discover their true interests. At the same time, cultivating children's self-confidence is also a major point in the education process. We should give enough affirmation and encouragement to our children, so that they can be full of confidence on the road to growth. Let children understand that failure is not terrible, as long as you persevere, you will definitely be able to usher in success. Through constant encouragement and affirmation, children will gradually build self-confidence and bravely face the challenges of the future.
Based on this philosophy, my child has not been forced to participate in cultural classes since the early grades of primary school. Instead, I encouraged him to try his hand at art, calligraphy, Go, hip-hop, flute, acting, basketball, swimming, and more. In the process of continuous experimentation, he gradually developed a strong interest in the role of host, especially when studying acting courses. So I specially found a reputable teacher for him to study systematically. His efforts paid off, and he won the second prize of the "Fifth Municipal Children's Quyi Competition" in primary school. When he was in high school, the cross talk he created was the highlight of theatrical performances every year. After entering the university, after layers of selection, he won the title of "Gold Medal Host"; A year later, he was absorbed as a member of the Municipal Quyi Artists Association.
Through my own upbringing of children, I feel that an education that respects individuality and encourages exploration can help children better explore their potential, show their own personality and talents, and help children to pursue their dreams bravely.
