In February 2022, NIO joined hands with Xinjiang Sailimu Lake to launch a new leg of the Clean Parks Ecological Co-construction Program to jointly help protect the ecology of Sailim Lake.

Since opening to tourists in 2014, nearly 12,000 vehicles arrive every day at peak tourist season. In the face of the increasing demand for tourism, in order to promote green travel, maintain the authenticity of the ecosystem, and protect this natural "clean sea", in recent years, Selim Lake has stepped up various ecological restoration and protection efforts, and has now limited the daily traffic of the lake to 2,000 vehicles.
The two parties also hope that this cooperation will encourage friends to use more zero-emission, zero-fuel, and greener pure electric vehicles to explore the beautiful scenery of Sailim Lake and jointly protect this blue "clean sea".
In April 2022, NIO entered into a strategic cooperation with the Beijing Representative Office of the World Wide Society for Nature (Switzerland), and the World Wide Society for Nature (WWF) became the co-sponsor of "Clean Parks". At the same time, WWF will give full play to its advantages in biodiversity conservation and sustainable development, and work with global authoritative scientific research institutions to explore nature-based biodiversity conservation solutions, which will be used as one of the scientific guidance documents for Clean Parks.
In September 2022, NIO signed a contract with the Danish Society for Nature Conservation and the Danish Nature Fundation in Copenhagen, Denmark, and the Danish Nature Conservation Association became the first overseas partner of Clean Parks.
By 2025, NIO and the Danish Nature Conservation Association will successively use four Danish nature reserves: Skovsgaard Gods, Jordan Se Bakker, Allindelille Skov, and H Jris M Lle as ecological co-construction project sites to provide green support. At the same time, NIO will also help the Danish Nature Conservation Association to promote the annual "Waste Picking Week" in Denmark to raise the environmental awareness of Danish society.
In August 2023, NIO joined forces with various efforts to launch the world's first V2G photovoltaic self-circulating energy replenishment system in Qilian Mountain. Through this system, NIO will not only provide smart electric vehicles to Qilian Mountain National Park for ecological patrol and new energy infrastructure, but also support the construction of a clean and low-carbon ecological cycle in Qilian Mountain National Park and protected areas through the application of V2G technology.
Qilian Mountain National Park is the 15th ecological co-construction site of Clean Parks, and the third stop of Clean Parks and WWF ecological co-construction.
In December 2023, NIO, together with the World Wide Society for Nature (WWF) and the Marine Protected Area Research Team of the First Institute of Oceanography of the Ministry of Natural Resources, officially launched the fourth stop of NIO's Clean Parks and WWF Ecological Co-construction in the candidate area of Changdao National Park in Shandong Province.
This is the 17th global ecological co-construction project site since the launch of the Clean Parks initiative. NIO will provide a number of smart electric vehicles to support local field scientific observation and research, help build clean and low-carbon energy charging facilities, and jointly promote the implementation of an energy self-circulation system.
