The Forbidden City is the largest museum in China, with the largest number and quality of cultural relics in its collection. And Rong Bao Zhai is known as the "Folk Forbidden City", which is enough to imagine how many treasures it has in its hands. This shop has a history of more than 300 years, and there are countless cultural relics in hand, however, there is a treasure that was once the store's "treasure of the town hall", and later donated to the Forbidden City in Beijing free of charge, this work is Mi Fu's "Tiaoxi Poetry Volume".
In August 1963, a young man from Harbin walked into the door of Rong Bao Zhai and said to Tian Yisheng, the person in charge at the time, and Wang Dashan, an expert, "Do you buy calligraphy and paintings?" Then he opened his package, and the next scene shocked everyone present, because in this seemingly ordinary package, each piece was a priceless treasure.
Among them, there are the Northern Song Dynasty Chen Yan's "self-written poems", Fan Zhongyan, Su Shi, Ni Zan and other calligraphy fragments, as well as Mi Fu's "Tiaoxi Poems", etc., totaling more than 30 pieces. To Tian Yisheng and Wang Dashan's surprise, the selling price proposed by the young man was not high, only 1,400 yuan. Overjoyed, they agreed to the deal.
In order to properly preserve these cultural relics, Rong Bao Zhai invited experts from the Forbidden City in Beijing to jointly restore them. The news that Rong Bao Zhai purchased a batch of cultural relics at a low price shocked the art world and attracted many celebrities to visit, including Qi Yanming, Xu Pingyu, Huang Luofeng, Wang Yeqiu, Wu Zhongchao, Zhang Congyu, Xu Bangda, etc.
The relevant departments thought that the young people had meritorious service in protecting cultural relics, and 1,400 yuan was too little, so they sent him a "reward money" of 5,000 yuan, and Rong Bao Zhai also donated this batch of cultural relics, including "Tiaoxi Poems", to the Forbidden City. At that time, the "Tiaoxi Poems" was less than 1,400 yuan, and now the valuation of this work has reached 9 figures.
Mi Fu handed down the real handiwork is not much, and scattered all over the world, "Tiaoxi poems" is not only a genuine handiwork, but also Mi's "big character", even more rare. This work is 303 cm, 189 wide5 cm, a total of 35 lines, 294 characters, completed in the Northern Song Dynasty Yuanyou three years (1088), and "Shu Su Ti" and called "rice book double".
Mi Fu calligraphy to 30 to 40 years old is the most exquisite, 30 years old before the word has not been the essence of Wei Jin penmanship, and 40 years old after the word is too pursuit of personality and change, so that gradually away from the law, is not suitable for learning. And Mi Fu's thirty or forty-year-old works, the integration of penmanship and interest, to achieve a perfect balance.
During this period, his writing and writing have the style of the ancients, but they can break through the constraints and pursue individuality within a reasonable range, which is very suitable for copying. "Tiaoxi Poems" starts with the pen in reverse, the frustration is obvious, and the strokes are twists and turns, strong and full. The body is open on all sides, fronts on all sides, and the center of gravity is swaying without floating. It can really be described as "the wind is born on all sides, calm and happy".
If you learn to write, want to get the most orthodox penmanship, but also to form their own personality, you might as well start from Mi Fu learning, which can be called a "shortcut".
