Accompanying my child to study, every time I look at a bunch of reference books such as dictionaries, dictionaries, idiom dictionaries, and English dictionaries in front of him, I am full of emotion! I can't help but think about this question: With such good educational conditions today, will children really feel happy and cherish these hard-won things?
When I was in primary school, people lived in difficult conditions and there was a shortage of all kinds of material things. To buy a book or dictionary, you have to walk.
In two or three hours, go over a ditch, and then walk twenty or thirty miles to the county seat, and you can only buy it when the Xinhua bookstore is open. On the weekend, a few of our 3rd graders had mornings.
I got up at six or seven o'clock, ate hastily, and set off with lunch at noon. When I arrived at the county seat, Xinhua Bookstore's morning business hours were over, so I had to wait on the steps next to it to rest, and fill my stomach with the things I brought by the way. After the door opened in the afternoon, I couldn't wait to squeeze in, and took out a large pile of crumpled banknotes and dirty coins from the plastic bags that were wrapped in several layers. In a hurry, I handed it over with a little reluctance to get back to the dictionary I had dreamed of for a long time. I felt so excited at this moment, I felt that all the tiredness was worth it. I wrapped the hard-won dictionary and took care of it with great care. After I was in elementary school, I had to leave it to my younger brothers and sisters!
When I tell my students about these experiences, I have too many questions and questions: Isn't it enough to buy a book online, and use it with a lot of trouble? Isn't it just a dictionary, as far as it goes? I don't know how many times faster than using mobile phones and computers to look up reference books such as dictionaries. I can't explain these issues at once, and even if I did, they might not fully understand them. Perhaps this is the gap between one generation and the next. In the end, I tried my best to explain the advantages and disadvantages of using electronic products and paper reference books to explain to the students, and the students nodded in agreement. I understand that there is a lot of perfunctory ingredients! Influencing as many people as possible with modest efforts is the lifelong pursuit of educators. There are some things that you know you can't do, which is the responsibility of a real educator, and it is also the conscience and feelings of an educator.
Why is it that the whole country advocates respecting teachers and valuing education, and vigorously supports the development of education, while running an education that satisfies the people is still our pursuit? How do we need to change our education and work in that direction to achieve more satisfactory results?
