According to the China Disease Control and Prevention, from the 5th to the 11th, the positive rate of influenza virus testing in the southern and northern provinces of China continued to decline, and no outbreaks of influenza-like cases were reported. However, the proportion of influenza-like cases in both southern and northern provinces increased, and the proportion of influenza-like cases reported by sentinel hospitals in southern and northern provinces to the total number of outpatient and emergency cases was .7%, both higher than the previous week's level and higher than the same period from 2021 to 2023.

From the 5th to the 11th, a total of 10,146 surveillance specimens of influenza-like cases were tested in the laboratory of China's influenza surveillance network. Among them, 1576 positive specimens of influenza virus were detected in the southern provinces, of which 329 were influenza A (H3N2), 17 were influenza A (H1N1), and 1230 were influenza B. A total of 1,151 positive specimens of influenza virus were detected in the northern provinces, of which 160 were influenza A (H3N2), seven were influenza A (H1N1) and 984 were influenza B. The proportion of influenza B in China has increased for 8 consecutive weeks, accounting for more than 81%.
