In recent years, there has been a problem of young cadres fleeing from the township and town grassroots structure, and some young people are unwilling to stay at the township and town grassroots level, take root in the grassroots level, do not focus on their work, and are bent on passing examinations or secondments, or even resigning and leaving the township system.
Why is the seemingly easy and decent job in the system rejected by young people? This makes us puzzled, what kind of situation makes the young cadres who are deeply involved want to slip away?
In the first two articles, I analyzed the dilemmas faced by young people in the grassroots system from two aspects: "marriage and family" and "work and promotion". The following mainly focuses on "human feelings and accidents" to talk about the dilemmas faced by young people in the grassroots system:
Young people in the grassroots system work at the grassroots level out of decent work and low living pressure, but when they really start to work and live in small places, problems such as boring entertainment and pastime, backward mental outlook, and unsuitable for human sophistication begin to appear.
1. "Boring" amateur life
The biggest feature of this small place is that there are few people, and after 8 o'clock in the evening, there are basically no people on the streets, and the empty streets are deserted. Young and middle-aged people have gone out to work, leaving only children who are studying and the elderly.
There are also few young people working at the grassroots level in townships and towns, most of them are elderly uncles and aunts, and their daily topics are whose son earns tens of thousands of yuan a month in which foreign company, whose daughter buys fashionable coats for whom, whose family has quarrels, and so on. As a young person who has just graduated from college, it is really difficult to have common topics and resonate with the people around you.
There is not much entertainment life in a small place, it is very hard to go to work, I plan to go out for a walk after work, it is difficult to find a decent park in the township, sometimes several friends finally get together and want to do something, and then find that I can only eat, organize activities or anything, there is no option. Staying at home after work, life is like a closed loop, and you never reach new people.
The experience of studying and living in big cities at the grassroots level has allowed young people to cultivate the aesthetic standards, lifestyle, rhythm of life and values of big cities, and the experience of "good universities" and developed areas has also shaped the unique psychological temperament of "urban people" for them, and their recreational activities and interpersonal exchanges pursue diversity in life, which is completely different from the traditional "eating" and "playing cards" in towns and villages, and "nothing can be done" and "boring" has become their real feeling of living in towns and villages.
Second, the stigma of the "loser".
Whether it is young people who are admitted to university from the city, or young people who are admitted to university from small places such as towns and villages, few of them return to the towns and villages to work after graduation, and most of them go to the big cities. Someone bluntly said that "only those who can't get along outside will go to work in small places".
The return of college graduates who have managed to get out of a small place to work in the township indicates a kind of "regression" or even "failure", which has also become a topic that they find difficult to talk about in social interactions. I used to study in such a good university, but now I am working at the grassroots level in the township, and I feel embarrassed, I have no face, and I am embarrassed to tell my teachers and classmates that I work in such a small place.
Classmates and friends living in the city share all kinds of lofty happy lives in the circle of friends, and the circle of friends of young people rooted in the grassroots are either poor households or poultry and livestock. Some young people in the township joked to themselves: "Our circle of friends is filled with a 'turtle' atmosphere." It makes many young people unwilling, and then has a sense of shame of "getting married". Faced with the stigma of "losers", they cannot gain a sense of value in their work, so they have the idea of escaping from the grassroots.
3. The way of doing things led by "human relations".
In the vast countryside and local counties, traditional Chinese society is a "society of acquaintances", and it is very easy to do everything as long as you find a relationship and find a connection.
The sophistication of people in small places is far more complicated than imagined, and if you want to talk about things, he wants to talk about human feelings; You want to talk about the facts, he wants to talk about relationships. If you go around many units, you can recognize the relatives of the leaders.
The experience of studying and living in big cities by young people at the grassroots level has unique urban characteristics in their values and behaviors. In their view, "doing things according to the rules" is the principle that they should adhere to in their work, but they found that many affairs in small places still need to be solved through personal relationships, and "establishing emotional connections with leaders" is an effective way to improve work efficiency and even obtain non-shared benefits.
Young people at the grassroots level prefer to do things according to the rules: "First.
First, two is two, if there are conditions, we will do it, if there are no conditions, we will not do it, and we will follow the rules." I don't like the kind of small place because "we know each other, so I'll give you a little discount or make it easier".
Relationships-based behaviour can create an unjust impression of life in small places. If you want to "move freely" in your work and life in a small place, you need to integrate into the complex network of interpersonal relationships in local life through courtesy, treats, etc. When they encounter this injustice and are unwilling to compromise, passive flight often becomes their strategy.
Fourth, the "backward" mental outlook
People who have lived in other places for a long time occasionally return to their hometowns, and they will feel that the people in their hometowns are kind and warm, and sigh at the simplicity of the people. However, when the young people at the grassroots level return to work and begin to contact the masses on the front line, they will realize that the small places are not only materially backward, but also spiritually backward. "Be honest and know etiquette, and know honor and disgrace when you have enough food and clothing."
The masses in small areas are obviously lagging behind those in big cities in terms of quality and ideology, and many of them still have the same mentality as in the past. Many of the people who went to the window of the service hall did not know about the queue, and there were people who were so arrogant that they would insert themselves into the front when they came in, and there were not many people crowded there; Some people do not tell them all the information and let them come again, but they think that you are making things difficult for him, not listening to your policies, and making a big noise at every turn, making a mess; Some people don't follow the regulations when they come in, and go directly to the leader's office, and they have to find someone to do a small business.
Young people who are responsible for the issue of letters and visits at the grassroots level in townships and towns are even more distressed, because the problem of letters and visits is very thorny, and some old petitioners have reported that the problems reported by the townships and towns and even counties and cities cannot be resolved. If the problem is not solved, the masses will target their resentment at the grassroots young people who are interviewed, but they can only try to appease them, and if they accidentally thunder, they will be punished for their poor work.
Don't say that you feel aggrieved, but if you say it, it will damage the demeanor of cadres." Great responsibility, weak passion, and difficult way out are the unspeakable hidden problems of young people in the grassroots system. Over time, young people at the grassroots feel that their talents cannot be displayed, and then they will have the idea of escaping.
I can't fit into their world, and I can't become the people there. There is no bustle of the city, no KTV, no bar, no library, no study room, no like-minded partners, no noble people who preach and solve doubts.
If you are in your hometown, it is good to have your parents by your company, as well as work and passion, but if you are in a different place, it is still a problem to integrate into it, let alone the enthusiasm and work of entrepreneurship.
So more and more young people are choosing to flee the townships.
Recently, on March 16, 2024, the announcement of the joint examination for civil servants in many provinces across the country has been announced.
Why young people want to flee from small county towns
