Hello, I'm Uncle Hao. Today we will talk about the second sentence of the Yin Fu Sutra.
Original].Therefore, there are five thieves in the sky, and those who see them are prosperous.
So there are five states of heaven, and whoever can perceive it will be able to develop and prosper.
Notes] Throughout the ages, the understanding of the five thieves can be described as the opinion of the benevolent and the wise.
Some understand it as the five poisons (greed, hatred, ignorance, slowness, and suspicion), the five flavors, and the five elements, while others understand it as the five senses (shape, sound, smell, taste, touch), the five aggregates (color, acceptance, thought, action, cognition), and the five sufferings (birth, old age, sickness, death, love), and so on.
Among these understandings, two are the most representative:
One is Taoism, which understands the five thieves as the five elements, metal, wood, water, fire, and earth;
First, Jiang Taigong, Guiguzi and others understand the five thieves as the five states of "life, matter, time, work, and god" that may cause harm to people.
Treating the five elements as the five thieves is relatively easy to understand and is one of the most common ways to understand it.
The ancients believed that the five basic elements of gold, wood, water, fire, and earth, through mutual reciprocity, not only created all things in heaven and earth, but also created an infinite cycle of life and restraint relationship network.
Add ** annotation, no more than 140 words (optional) Shengke presents a relationship of opposites and unity, with different manifestations on different events, such as victory and defeat, blessing and misfortune, and benefits and disadvantages.
A mainstream view of Taoism's understanding of this sentence is that as long as you can figure out the relationship between the five elements of heaven and earth, you will succeed and prosper.
At first glance, there is nothing wrong with such an explanation, but further** you will find that if the five thieves are understood as the five elements, everything in the world needs to be divided into five elements.
In this division process, you will find that the division of many things is not singular, but has multiple five-element attributes.
For example, if you look up the five elements of the mobile phone, you will find that the mobile phone has the dual five elements of gold and fire.
In this way, when we analyze the relationship between things and each other, we will become at a loss, and in most cases, we will fall into the dilemma of "inferring the cause from the effect".
Uncle Hao believes that it is okay to understand the five thieves as the five elements, but it is not necessarily by grasping the relationship between the five elements of heaven to achieve "the prosperity of those who see".
According to my personal understanding, a more reasonable understanding should be to regard the five elements of water, wood, fire, earth, and metal as the five states of change and the five stages of heaven.
Water, which stands for infiltration,Initial Signs;
Wood, which represents growth,rapid development;
Fire, which represents the destruction of the fireboom and bust;
Earth, which represents fusion,Return to nothingness
Gold, which stands for accumulation,Spit out the old and embrace the new; Using these five stages to explain the five thieves is purely my personal opinion, and it may not be correct, so please listen to it.
When a new thing or new trend emerges, if you can see the opportunity when it first appears, devote yourself to it when it develops rapidly, and retreat from its prosperity and decline, you will surely prosper.
Throughout the ages, whether in business or politics, there are countless such examples.
Three recent megatrends,:Such as the wave of the Internet, the first twenty years of real estate, the wave of artificial intelligence.
Needless to say, if you can capitalize on any of these megatrends, prosperity will never be a problem.
Of course, the premise is that you must have a pair of discerning eyes that can see the "five thieves of the sky" clearly!
