Currently, staking airdrop projects such as $TIA, $atom, $dym, $pyth, and most recently $ron are receiving strong attention.
So what are the best projects for staking airdrops? Taking a look at the pros and cons of each project, this article is just about the basics and positioning.
1. $tia
Modular blockchains will obviously be the main trend in 2024, $tia coin holders have already had two sizable airdrops recently, $dym and $alt.
In addition, the TIA ecosystem is also quite large, with many popular projects, such as MilkyWay, Shogun (Binance Labs), ZKFAIRS, etc., all of which may have airdrops for stakers in the future.
The only downside of TIA is that the current status of the wallet is rather bad, 10 times lower than the bottom. However, if you are a TIA bull, holding $35-$50 of TIA ($600-1000) could be a good stake, with the potential to get an airdrop.
2. $atom
Atom is arguably leading the way in staking for airdrops, and since 2021, there have been many airdrops to Atom holders, in addition to the airdrops on AMMs that stake $OSMO - Cosmos.
Atom is almost a large parent that includes $TIA, so if the project airdrops $Atom holders, there may not be many of them, but the probability is certainly high. The Atom ecosystem is strong and extensive, and you can learn more about it, with the upcoming launch of Berachain.
The staking amount suitable for ATOM airdrops fluctuates between 100-200 $atom ($1,000-$2,000). $atom hasn't exploded too violently yet, and the position is still good.
3. $pyth
Pyth is an oracle trusted by many projects. Projects that use PYTH oracles but have not yet launched their tokens have been rumored to be airdropping for the latest PYTH holders, the latest of which is DEGEN.
The ecosystem of pyth oracles is very extensive, so the expectation of future airdrops is viable. The staking amount for PYTH is relatively low, around 500 PYTH (equivalent to $300) by DEGEN's standards.
However, I don't think you should expect a big airdrop for PYTH airdrops, which are simply as much as you put in. The status of Pyth has only tripled at the moment and is still worth considering.
4. $dym
Dymension is a RaaS project that provides roll-up solutions for dApps. As a result, DApps using the Dymension service may be airdropped to $DYMM holders, the latest project being PRYMZ.
The criteria for betting $dym are less clear, but it is basically possible to be around 50-100 $dym ($500-1000). The $dym ecosystem is currently in the development phase and has not yet been claimed by any airdrops, so the value is not yet clear.
Summary
Overall, if you want to participate in staking to get airdrops, then $atom and $tia may be two safe options, and it is possible to get a large airdrop. Choose the right project according to the funding situation.
In addition, for friends who like GameFi, you can also consider staking Ronin.
