A golden divider line up and down, engraved with two groups of golden characters - the former represents the third Cambrian system, the latter represents the second Cambrian system, this is located in Guizhou Province, Jianhe County, Balang Village, Wuyu-Zengjiaya section of the "golden nail", is the first "golden nail" on the land of Guizhou, but also a positioning point of the earth's 4.6 billion years of history, represented by trilobite fossils, has been about 50.8 billion years.

Scientists will make a demarcation mark at the junction of the geological age and the next, which is the "golden nail" mark. After scientific calculation, the earth is made up of 112 "golden nails" in series, and at present, 78 have been found, of which 11 are in China.

As long as the corresponding species fossils are found in a certain layer of rock on the earth, and then its chemical composition is measured, the geological age can be determined.

In order to find this "golden nail", the international academic community debated for 100 years, and later in China, the United States, and Italy in the candidates, repeatedly demonstrated for 30 years, with the unremitting efforts of the Guizhou paleontological research team, until 2018, the International Union of Geological Sciences after many on-site investigations, repeated comparisons, and layers of voting, finally nailed this "golden nail" to Guizhou Balang, and officially named it "Miaolingtong Wuchu Global Boundary Stratigraphic Section and Point".

Guizhou this"Gold nails"Determined the global Cambrian tertiary and fifth order of the global standard, the Jianhe Balang paleontological fossil group is one of the three major sites of the world's Cambrian explosion of life, but also a core component of Guizhou Miaoling National Geopark, has found paleontological fossils 11 phyla, 168 genera, more than 500 species, its phylum, the number of rich, is rare in China, great scientific research value and social value.

With the fame of "Golden Nail", it has attracted many scientific research teams, research groups, parent-child groups, and summer camp groups one after another.

In recent years, Jianhe County has continuously increased the construction and development of supporting facilities around the "Golden Nail", built a paleontological fossil exhibition hall, a fossil collection experience area, a painted science wall, etc., and integrated the "Golden Nail" and its nearby resources to form a natural museum.

Tourists come here to explore the mystery of the "golden nail" and understand the evolution of primitive life; Stroll in the Miao Village on the fossil mountain to see the physical landform of "vicissitudes of life"; Walk into the Rural Fossil Museum and listen to the explanation of popular science geological knowledge; Collect fossils in the experience area, touch the folds caused by the movement of the earth's crust, and experience the charm of field surgery up close.

Listening to popular science, picking up fossils, increasing knowledge, it is very meaningful, and I use my hands and brains. Wu Quanrui, a tourist, visited and answered questions with the commentator on knowledge, and participated in the interaction on the spot, which made him feel very meaningful.

With the paleontological fossil group as the eye-catcher, the local area has created a characteristic "tourist road" that integrates paleontological fossils, ecological environment and national culture, and has become a popular place for scholars and tourists at home and abroad to study and travel. At present, the Jianhe "Golden Nail" project receives 20 tourists a year180,000 person-times, indirectly driving the tourism development of surrounding villages and scenic spots such as Balang Village, Tunzhou Village, Jianhe Hot Spring, and Jianhe China Resources Hope Town.

According to Liu Feng, the administrator and docent of the Balang Paleontological Fossil Scenic Area, there are tourists from all over the country, including Beijing, Guangdong, Sichuan, Hunan, and sometimes scientific research groups from abroad. Some tourists will also stay in the village to eat and buy agricultural and sideline products, which can also help the villagers increase their income.

Starting from the establishment of paleontological fossil reserves, project declarations, popular science education linkage, cultural promotion, development and research tours, rural tours, etc., Jianhe County organically unifies development and utilization with geological protection and ecological protection, and uses local existing houses to optimize and upgrade, and does not occupy or use a stone, a thing, a grass and a tree in the reserve, and uses a series of practical measures to protect the "golden nails" in this "treasure".
