Recently, China and Thailand signed the Agreement between the People's Republic of China and the Kingdom of Thailand on Mutual Visa Exemption for Ordinary Passport Holders in Bangkok. This agreement marks the full visa exemption between China and Thailand, opening a new chapter in tourism, business and cultural exchanges between the two countries.
The implementation of the visa waiver agreement will not only greatly facilitate the exchanges between the two peoples, but also herald the further deepening of tourism, business and cultural exchanges. According to the chairman of the Thai Chinese Entrepreneur Association, Lim Chu Chin, the number of bilateral exchanges between the Chinese and Thai people is expected to triple last year, that is, 10 million people, under the incentive of the visa-free agreement.
This agreement will not only promote the movement of people, but also inject new vitality into the economic development of the two countries. In the past few years, China has signed similar visa waiver agreements with Singapore and Malaysia"New Malaysia"All are visa-free. So far, China has concluded visa exemption agreements with 158 countries around the world covering different types of passports, reached agreements or arrangements with 44 countries on visa simplification, fully exempted 22 countries from visa exemption, and granted visa-free access or visa-on-arrival to Chinese citizens from more than 60 countries and regions.
This series of mutual visa exemption agreements fully reflects China's firm determination and positive attitude towards opening up to the outside world. The signing of these agreements not only facilitates outbound tourism for Chinese, but also reflects China's influence in international affairs.
