Sun Dianying was a controversial figure during the ** period, and was famous for stealing and excavating the Qing Dongling Tomb in Malanyu, Hebei. He had been a bandit, robbed tombs, and even collaborated with the Japanese, so the world's evaluation of him was mixed.
However, he had a very outstanding son, and compared to his father's mixed reputation, Sun Dianying's son was highly respected in the country.
In 1889, when the Empress Dowager Cixi announced the return of Emperor Guangxu, a baby named Sun Dianying was born in Yongcheng County, Henan. No one could have foreseen how this baby boy, who would have a fate with the Empress Dowager Cixi in the future, would become the focus of attention.
Since he was a child, Sun Dianying has shown a naughty character, he doesn't like to read, and he can't stand the constraints of Mr. Teaching. Once, Mr. Private School reprimanded him, and he actually set fire to the private school.
Since then, Sun Dianying has become famous in ten miles and eight towns, and few people are willing to take the initiative to provoke him.
In the later period of private school education in old China, Sun Dianying became idle, idle all day long, and even became friends with the bandit Zhang Zhigong. They befriended the thugs and military and police officials of society, and occasionally committed some illegal acts, and the locals knew their notoriety.
However, after Wu Peifu came to Luoyang, Sun Dianying's behavior was severely criticized by him, and Wu Peifu even drove Sun Dianying out of Luoyang. It wasn't until Wu Peifu was dismissed from his post by Cao Kun that Sun Dianying dared to come back.
However, now there is already a group of small minions around Sun Dianying, most of them are bandits and stragglers, who have been incorporated by Sun Dianying along the way.
Sun Dianying made his first exploits because of the raid on Xu Yongchang's subordinate department of the National Third Army, and was appreciated and promoted by Zhang Zongchang, becoming the commander and commander of the Fifth Division, accumulating a lot of popularity.
But what really made him famous overnight was his "tomb robbery" incident. In May 1928, Sun Dianying was sent to northern Henan to contain Feng Yuxiang's troops, but under the combined forces of Chiang Kai-shek, Feng Yuxiang and Yan Xishan, the Zhilu coalition forces were defeated, and Sun Dianying had no choice but to surrender.
Although he was the general of the defeated army, Chiang Kai-shek took a fancy to Sun Dianying's troops and incorporated him, making him the commander of the 12th Army of the Sixth Army, stationed near Malanyu in Jixian County, near the Qing Dynasty's Dongling.
Chiang Kai-shek and Soong Meiling inspected the troops at the Qing Tomb, which is the site of the tombs of the Qing emperors for more than 200 years, and has buried five emperors, fifteen empresses, one hundred and thirty-six concubines, three elder brothers and two princesses, including the mausoleum of Cixi.
After stationing in Ma Lanyu, Sun Dianying learned that there was a man named Ma Futian nearby, who often led people to wander around the Qing Dongling Tomb, intending to enter the mausoleum and steal treasures.
In fact, Sun Dianying had long coveted the Qing Dongling, and Ma Futian's appearance just became a "reasonable excuse" for him to invade the Qing Dongling.
In the face of Ma Futian's ill-intentioned attempts, Qing Dongling acted quickly. Sun Dianying decisively assembled an army and successfully defeated Ma Futian and others, and at the same time, on the grounds of military exercises, strictly blocked the range of thirty miles around the Qing Dongling, and anyone had to obtain authorization to enter.
After everything was ready, Sun Dianying swaggered into the Qing Dongling Tomb. Before entering the Qing Tombs, Sun Dianying conducted a detailed survey of the structure of the tombs, and called in 30 mule carts from Zunhua County, and finally identified two targets: the tomb of Cixi and the tomb of Qianlong.
Sun Dianying believes that these two places are the most likely to harbor priceless treasures.
Sun Dianying used explosives to blow up the Qing Dongling, although the way to enter the underground palace was simple, but each door of the underground palace weighed 3 tons, and it was a white marble door, which could not resist the power of explosives.
He stayed for three days and three nights, during which he kept having the treasures shipped out, and finally, the tombs of Qianlong and Cixi were ransacked, and the carts full of pearls, jade, jade, ivory, carvings, calligraphy and paintings were his harvest.
Everyone enters the mausoleum and returns with a full load.
Sun Dianying successfully covered up the fact that he had stolen the Dongling Underground Palace by bribing the ** generals. His bribery list included high-level figures such as Chiang Kai-shek and Song Ziwen, and their bribery gradually calmed down, and in the end Sun Dianying was not punished in any way.
Sun Dianying, the famous "Tanglin Thief" in history, the wealth obtained from tomb robbery allowed him to live a luxurious and nourishing life for the rest of his life. He has held various positions in Yan Xishan and Zhang Xueliang.
However, despite his affluent life, Sun Dianying did not live a long life, and was captured for defeat less than twenty years after the tomb robbery, and finally died of illness in prison at the age of 58. After Sun Dianying passed away, the sins he committed during his lifetime were left to his descendants.
His only son, Sun Tianyi, was a child he only had in his 40s, so Sun Dianying was very fond of him. However, Sun Tianyi was disgusted by his father's actions, especially when others called him the son of the "Tanglin Thief".
Sun Dianying's actions cannot be changed, and Sun Tianyi can only work hard to adjust himself. As a young man, he was smarter, precocious, and superior in character and learning than his peers. As an adult, he was admitted to Beijing Fu Jen University, and after graduation, he taught at Xi'an University of Foreign Chinese.
Over the years, he has earned a reputation for teaching and educating people. However, for Sun Tianyi, such a life is incomplete. In addition to teaching, he also wants to bring other values into his life.
Fortunately, his thoughts were quickly answered.
In 1992, when Sun Tianyi learned that the Yellow Emperor's Mausoleum was being built in Xi'an, he did not hesitate to submit an application and became one of the protectors of the Yellow Emperor's Mausoleum. His choice originated from his father, Sun Dianying, who destroyed the tomb of Qingdong when he destroyed the tomb, and as a son, he is now the tomb keeper, which is a kind of atonement for his father, but also shows his national pride and sense of responsibility.
He believes that the Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor is a treasure of the Chinese nation, carrying the history of our country for thousands of years, and he has the responsibility to protect it, let more people know about it, and let it continue to be passed on.
Sun Tianyi personally experienced the construction of the Yellow Emperor's Mausoleum, and always did it himself, although the school was busy with work, he still frequently went to the site to check the progress of the project. Under his supervision, the project progressed rapidly, and he became famous in China.
However, he is very humble and believes that these are his responsibilities. Today, Sun Tianyi is in his nineties, and his physical and mental state is much better than his peers.
Although he is retired, he still walks up to the podium from time to time to share his life experiences, and the Yellow Emperor's Mausoleum, whenever he has time, he will go there to take a look and do his duty as a tomb keeper.
Although Sun Tianyi's father, Sun Dianying, was once infamous, Sun Tianyi did not fall into darkness because of his father's shadow, but won the respect of the whole country with his own efforts.
He has done a great thing that shocked people at home and abroad, which is impressive, which also makes him surpass his father and deserves our admiration and praise.
