Enhanced coagulation is a commonly used wastewater treatment technology that is widely used in a wide range of industries. The purpose of this study was to enhance the application effect of coagulation in the removal of organic matter in reverse osmosis concentrated water of monosodium glutamate production wastewater.

MSG production wastewater reverse osmosis brine contains high concentrations of organic compounds, which are potentially harmful to the environment and human health. Traditional treatment methods are often difficult to completely remove these organic matter, so it is necessary to find efficient treatment technology to degrade the organic concentration to reduce the environmental impact.

In the experiment, we used enhanced coagulation technology to treat the reverse osmosis concentrate of MSG production wastewater. Enhanced coagulation is a kind of coagulant that is fully mixed with wastewater so that the suspended solids and organic matter in it aggregate into larger particles, which are convenient for subsequent separation and removal. First of all, the appropriate coagulant and coagulant dosage were selected in the experiment, and the pH value and reaction time of the wastewater were adjusted. Then, the effect of enhanced coagulation in removing organics was evaluated by measuring the organic content before and after post-treatment of the sample.

The results showed that the enhanced coagulation technology could effectively remove the organic matter in the reverse osmosis concentrate of MSG production wastewater. After suitable treatment conditions, the removal rate of organic matter in wastewater can reach more than 80%. In addition, the experimental results also showed that the selection and dosage of coagulant had an important impact on the removal of organic matter. Appropriate coagulant and dosage can improve the effect of wastewater treatment.

Enhanced coagulation technology has the advantages of simple operation, obvious treatment effect and strong adaptability. It aggregates the organic matter in the wastewater into larger particles, which can be easily separated and removed subsequently. However, there are also some problems in enhanced coagulation technology, such as the selection of coagulant and the adjustment conditions need to be considered comprehensively, and the organic matter needs to be further extracted and processed in the subsequent treatment process.

In summary, enhanced coagulation is a technical solution to effectively reduce the concentration of organic matter in the concentrated water of reverse osmosis of monosodium glutamate production wastewater. This method can effectively remove organic matter from wastewater and reduce the impact on the environment. Further research and promotion of this technology will provide a feasible solution for the treatment and resource utilization of monosodium glutamate production wastewater, and also has important environmental protection and sustainable development significance.
