Geely LEVC's first pure electric MPV model, the Geely L380 prototype, has rolled off the assembly line, the new car is based on the space-oriented architecture SOA platform, compared with the general MPV model, the interior space is more flexible, can be adjusted between 3 and 8 seats, more adaptable, and is expected to be launched this year.
The L380 is inspired by the wide-body Airbus aircraft, codenamed A380. The front of the car is shorter and the body has a rectangular shape, like a tool cart, but the interior uses more space. The front face is a double-layer design, with a through-type light strip, and the headlight cluster is integrated with the C-shaped deflector grooves on both sides, and the deflector groove is connected to the air intake, which visually further widens the proportion.
The body size of the L380 is 5316 1998 1940mm, and the wheelbase reaches 3300mm. The side shape is simple and straight, with hidden door handles, side sliding doors, low-drag snowflake-style wheels, and two-tone bodywork, creating a good sense of fashion atmosphere. At the rear, there are red through-type taillights, and the internal light source is linear, with radial sides on both sides, which is highly recognizable, and there is also a illuminated lettering logo. The tail has the word "X Space" at the bottom left, which is "Geely Wing Zhen".
The new car is also available in a monochrome body option, four styles of wheels, and a choice of 6 and 8 seats. The new car is built on the space-oriented architecture SOA platform, and the application of ODP tiled mid-mounted technology can maximize the cockpit, and at the same time excellent in space performance and space flexibility, the vehicle length can be 486-5.Between 95 meters, the wheelbase can be in 30-3.8 meters between.
This architecture supports the development of three types of models: medium, mid-height, and high-sitting. There are 1 in the second and third rowsThe 9-meter integrated stepless slide rail makes the space relatively more flexible. The six-seater model has a storage slot under the trunk floor, and the eight-seater version of the four-row seats can be folded and stored under the platform, and the luggage compartment space can be expanded to 163 liters.
In terms of power, the maximum power of the single-motor model reaches 200kw, and it is expected that there will be a dual-motor model in the later stage. The model under the SOA architecture will use CATL's CTP battery system, with a battery capacity of 73-120kWh and a range of more than 600km, supporting fast charging technology, which can replenish the battery for 200km in 10 minutes. The L380 has a battery capacity of 116kWh and a pure electric range of 650km. The suspension part will adopt the front double ball pin MacPherson single suspension + rear high-load multi-link single suspension, and it will also have CDC and air spring suspension to further improve comfort.
As Geely's first pure electric MPV model, L380 is biased towards practicality from the appearance to the space layout, and also highlights its positioning as a high-end "tool car".
