Sales of "true wireless" headphones over the past few years have been staggering. According to tech market analysts, they surpassed all good Bluetooth headphones (over-ear headphones) in 2020 and currently account for 59% of smart personal audio transmissions. In 2021, Apple generated more than $10 billion in revenue from AirPods alone, more than double Twitter's global revenue. AirPods aren't necessarily good Bluetooth headphones, though. The following Bluetooth headsets can also be considered, and ** is more than twice as low.
Helium engraved HIK X5
This headset is also available for Android phones and is also smooth to use on Apple devices. It's liked for its bass-centric focus, which makes hip-hop, dance, and reggae ** sound great, but rock a bit low. The tuning of the sound is actually fantastic and enhances the sound. I've been wearing them for six months now and they've never come off from the gym or while running. This headset is good at lowering **to a reasonable point** without giving up too much in terms of sound quality, just giving up a few extra things to get in at a more affordable **.
The headphones sound very good, have better bass reproduction than many headphones, and** the reproduction is very nice, although some details can be slightly blurry at times. One of the "extra features" that has been dropped here is the option to choose a better-sounding codec, such as APT-X (with noise reduction), but their performance is pretty good anyway. The box feels a bit cheap, and the headphones themselves are a bit oddly shaped, but they still give you great audio.
Sony WF-1000XM4
The sound quality of these Sony headphones is incredible, and they can compete with headphones when it comes to delivering rich bass and detailed sound when listening**. The real problem is that it doesn't support APT-X, but Sony offers its own sound-sharp LDAC codec that sounds just as good. The downside is that you have to adjust some settings in your phone to enable it, but it's not that hard. From noise cancellation to answering**, everything is nice. I've found that they fit my ears perfectly and are able to do it without falling out while jogging or rowing machine training. The headphones come with three earbuds, and Sony's Headphone Connect app will guide you through the fit to your ears.
Apple AirPods Pro 2024Bluetooth headphones
Apple invented the entire category of Bluetooth headphones, and its toothbrush-shaped AirPods opened the way for other companies to follow suit. But when it comes to sound, previous generations of AirPods were quickly overtaken by competitors who were more focused on audio. These new AirPods Pro 2 come with a ton of technology that makes them sound better. AirPods Pro sound lifelike and precise, although there are better headphones on the market that deliver wonderful, warm bass. But Apple's headphones still refuse to work with better Bluetooth codec formats like APT-X, which means you'll lose some ** details.
As with Apple, the experience is very refined, as long as you "play well" and use the iPhone, not Android (you can use Android, but you'll miss out on a lot of features). Everything pairs quickly, pulls out the headphones to pause**, and the excellent noise cancellation can be adjusted via the app. Apple's incredible spatial audio lets you enjoy surround sound on the go.
galaxy buds2 pro
Samsung users can enjoy good-sounding with Samsung Sealemate, Samsung's dedicated codec format. Where the Buds2 Pro gets it right is on the technical side: you can read notifications through the headphones, and you can access Samsung's voice control to search, all of which give a pleasantly robotic feel. With Samsung devices, the sound is fantastic, but with other devices, the sound is not so great, with almost no bass, although it has a good melody in the high register. It's a good option if you own a Samsung phone, but it's good to avoid for iPhone fans because you don't have an app.
