The layers in the water meridian micro map (referred to as the "micro map") have attribute fields, whether they are compound layers or point, line, and surface layers, they can be added or deleted according to the actual situation.

Here, I will share two ways to add and delete fields.

When you need to add or delete the attribute field of a layer, you can select the "Properties" menu in the right-click menu of the layer to display the layer properties interface.

Layers menu. In the Layer Properties that appear, select Attribute Fields to display a list of all the attribute fields for the layer.

Layer properties. In the Attribute Fields list, you can add and remove attribute fields as needed.

Attribute fields. Click the drop-down arrow icon on the right side of the "Add" button to add or delete system fields, or you can manually enter system fields.

In addition to modifying the attribute fields through the layer properties, you can also modify the layer attribute fields through the layer attribute table.

Select Open Attribute Table from the layer context menu to view attribute field values for all features.

Open the attribute table.

In the Layer Attribute Table, click the drop-down arrow icon to the right of the field to select the option to append and delete columns, that is, to add and delete fields.

Append the deleted field.

It should be noted that after the field is deleted, the corresponding value of the field for all features will also be deleted, and it will not be able to be viewed and modified in the attribute panel!

If you delete a field by mistake, press CTRL+Z to undo and restore it in time to avoid data loss.

This article shares two ways to add or delete attribute fields, which are to maintain the fields after the layer already exists.

Actually,It is highly recommended that you pre-set the attribute fields when creating a new layer to avoid data loss when maintaining the fields later.
