Yinxu is the spiritual symbol of the Chinese nation, the first capital site of the late Shang Dynasty in the history of our country that has been documented and confirmed by archaeological excavations and oracle bone inscriptions, and is also the ancient capital site with the largest number of archaeological excavations and the longest duration in China, and is known as the cradle of modern archaeology in China.

According to reports, the new museum is located on the shore of Huanshui, across the river from the Yinxu Zongmiao Palace, and is the first national major archaeological museum to show the Shang civilization in a panoramic way.

The exhibition focuses on the theme of Shang civilization, including three parts: "Exploring Shang Civilization", "Great Shang Civilization" and "World Shang Civilization", clarifying the development of Shang civilization, showing archaeology with Chinese style, Chinese characteristics and Chinese style, and explaining the world significance of Shang civilization. There are four special exhibitions, including "Where Does the Long Come From - Special Exhibition of the Long Tomb of Zhuang Dongdi in Yinxu Garden" and "Who Is the Son - Special Exhibition of Oracle Bones in Yinxu Garden", as well as a special immersive digital exhibition. Nearly 4,000 sets of bronze, pottery, jade, oracle bones and other cultural relics are on display, and the number of cultural relics on display is huge and diverse, of which more than three-quarters of the precious cultural relics are on display for the first time.

The exhibition form is based on solemnity and atmosphere, focusing on seeing people and things through things, presenting multiple integrations, highlighting the interest of the story, enhancing the immersive experience, and making full use of artificial intelligence, multi-** and other technologies to give cultural relics, documents, oracle bone records and other new ways of expression of the times. The exhibition of the new museum is not only a systematic summary and powerful presentation of the research results of Yinxu archaeology and Shang civilization, but also a new starting point for the protection and utilization of Yinxu ruins in the new era, which is of great significance for inheriting the past and opening up the future.

In recent years, the State Administration of Cultural Heritage has coordinated domestic archaeological forces to promote breakthroughs in the study of the pattern of Yinxu capital, and the relationship between Yinxu and surrounding settlements has been further clarified, and the results of multidisciplinary cooperation and scientific and technological archaeological research have been fruitful. As another representative masterpiece of the New Era Site Museum, the new museum is an important part of the Yinxu National Archaeological Site Park, a palace of civilization that expands the influence of Chinese culture, and provides a practical case for the creative transformation and innovative development of China's excellent traditional culture.

In addition, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and other institutions have set up an expert group for the compilation of knowledge texts of the Yinxu Museum, which has carried out field research, online and offline discussions among experts, etc., and comprehensively and systematically compiled millions of words of knowledge texts, providing strong academic support for the exhibition of the new museum.
