In the process of fully implementing the new curriculum standards and new curriculum and promoting the generation of students' core literacy, in order to effectively integrate educational drama into the classroom, the Foreign Language Committee of the Beijing Education Society held a series of seminars on "Innovative Practice of the Integration of Education-oriented Educational Drama and Curriculum Teaching". On December 29th, Parkview Green International School Century Primary School hosted and participated in the on-site meeting of "Project-based Learning and Educational Drama Research in the Context of Large Units".

This program aims to provide students with knowledge about China's historical sites, excursion experiences, and profound influences on Chinese culture. So, set the driver question to what makes the great wall great?It is hoped that students will understand the basic information of the Great Wall, and at the same time, go deep into the reason why it is translated as "the greatest wall" from multiple angles, and know from the content and expression how to vividly recommend this great building that has a profound impact on Chinese civilization to domestic and foreign tourists!

Situational interpretation of the "ideal career" experience hall
On behalf of the team, Li Ning, a teacher from Beijing Yizhuang Experimental Primary School, presented an English project-based learning case integrated into educational drama - "My Dream Job I am a Career Experience Officer". This case takes the 6 units of jobs on the fourth unit of the new starting point of human education as an example, focusing on how to simulate the construction of a career experience hall in the classroom. Through immersive theatre, students are able to introduce their dream careers and have interactive experiences. The results of the project are positioned as an immersive drama "My Dream Job Ideal Career Experience Hall", which demonstrates students' English listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in the form of drama performances, and combines scenarios to interpret the "Ideal Career" experience hall, so that students can complete the initial experience of their ideal career in interaction. The project is an interdisciplinary project that skillfully integrates multiple disciplines such as English, drama and fine arts.
Mr. Wang Xiaodong, a teacher and researcher in Beijing, made a wonderful summary of the event. He fully affirmed the three classes and one sharing, which he considered to be outstanding results of project-based learning, witnessing the efforts of teachers and the improvement of students' abilities. Mr. Wang deeply analyzed the core goal of project-based learning and drama teaching - cultivating students' core literacy, and elaborated on the connotation, characteristics and specific performance of core literacy, which provided valuable inspiration for the participants. He also put forward the requirements and suggestions for the cultivation of core literacy in combination with the new curriculum standards, and explained the purpose and reasons for the selection of topics for this project. Mr. Wang's speech was not only innovative, but also forward-looking, which inspired the participants and gained a lot.
The on-site meeting of "Project-based Learning and Educational Drama Research in the Context of Large Units" was successfully concluded, drawing a perfect end to this semester's English project-based learning. Driven by real project tasks, students are enthusiastically engaged, integrate unit knowledge, and achieve in-depth application and transfer of knowledge. With high enthusiasm and excellent spirit of cooperation, they carried out heated discussions online and offline, showing great creativity and teamwork. This novel and unique form of learning has completely ignited the internal motivation of students, and Century Primary School has once again injected a steady stream of energy into the growth and development of children with a professional education platform, helping them spread their wings and fly high.
