Introduction to industrial flame retardant and fire-resistant cables:

It refers to a cable that can maintain safe operation for a certain period of time in the case of flame burning. Fire-resistant cables are widely used in high-rise buildings, underground railways, underground streets, large power stations and important industrial and mining enterprises and other places related to fire safety and fire rescue, such as power supply lines and control lines of emergency facilities such as fire-fighting equipment and emergency guide lights. It is mainly used in power supply circuits from emergency power supply to user fire fighting equipment, fire alarm equipment, ventilation and smoke exhaust equipment, guide lights, emergency power sockets, emergency elevators and so on.

It is used in high-rise buildings, oil fields, power stations, power plants, mines, chemical industries, mines, subways and other occasions that require high fire protection conditions, and is also the appropriate cable for emergency power supply, fire pump, elevator communication signal system; The product has high fire resistance, in the case of direct flame combustion, there will be no short circuit and open circuit failure within a certain period of time, ensuring that the power supply continues to maintain lighting and transmitting signals, and protecting personnel has enough time to evacuate safely, which is conducive to extinguishing fires and reducing losses.

Installation Notes:

1. When the fire-resistant cable is used in the cable tunnel, cable interlayer, or located in the flammable place near the oil pipe and oil depot, the Class A fire-resistant cable should be selected first. In addition to these cases, and when the number of cable configurations is small, Class B fire-resistant cables should be selected.

2. Fire-resistant cables are mostly used as power supply circuits for emergency power supplies, which require normal operation in case of fire. Due to the sharp rise of the ambient temperature during the fire, in order to ensure the transmission capacity of the line and reduce the voltage drop, the cross-section of the fire-resistant cable should be enlarged by at least one gear for the circuit where the power supply line is long and the allowable voltage drop is strictly limited.

3. Fire-resistant cables cannot be used as high-temperature resistant cables.

4. In order to reduce the failure probability of cable joints in fire accidents, the number of joints should be minimized in the installation to ensure that the line can work normally in the fire. If branch wiring is required, the joint should be fireproofed.
