Russia's Kremlin responded to the sudden death of opposition leader Navalny in prison last week, saying that the West's reaction to the incident was unacceptable, but that the disgusting rhetoric of the United States and Europe would not hurt Putin.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday (February 19) that the investigation into Navalny's death is still ongoing and is being conducted in accordance with Russian law, but there is no conclusion yet.

Navalny's death last Friday (16th) after suddenly feeling unwell in a prison located in a Siberian penal colony caused a shock, and many Western countries showed that Putin was responsible for Navalny's death.

Peskov told reporters: "We believe that it is absolutely unacceptable to make such nasty statements ......."Of course, these statements will not cause any damage to our head of state. ”

Asked how Putin reacted to the news of Navalny's death, Peskov said: "I have nothing to add. ”

Navalny's widow, Yulia N**Alnaya, will meet with EU ministers later on Monday. EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Josep Borrell told reporters on the same day: "We must send a signal of support to the Russian opposition. ”
