She particularly likes romantic French style, and she wants her new home to be clean, bright and functional, so storage and lighting are the focus of the renovation.
Except for the kitchen and bathroom, the original unit was basically a large open space, lacking functional areas such as a dining room, living room and bedroom. The entrance hall has an unobstructed view and is less private.
The designers rearranged the space layout to increase storage capacity and daylighting.
The highlights of the renovation are as follows:
1. A partition wall was built directly opposite the entrance door, and a porch cabinet was added to realize an independent porch area and enhance the privacy of the room.
2. Divide an independent bedroom area in the space, transform the original open space into a one-bedroom, and set up indoor windows on both sides of the bedroom to ensure the transparency of the overall space.
3. The TV wall in the living room is kept blank and equipped with a flexible and movable TV stand.
4. A whole wall storage cabinet was customized as the background wall of the sofa to meet the storage needs of the living room, and at the same time, a passage was left between the sofa and the cabinet to facilitate the opening and closing of the cabinet door.
5. The dining area is closely connected to the kitchen, and the sideboard is used to increase the function of the western kitchen.
6. The kitchen borrows the space of the living room and embeds the refrigerator, which does not occupy the aisle space, making the circulation more smooth.
Entrance hall
Directly opposite the entrance door, a full-top storage cabinet is created, with open lattices at the bottom and in the middle, and equipped with sensor light strips. When the door is opened, the lights come on, giving a sense of ritual to welcome the owner home.
The bottom of the storage cabinet is suitable for frequently worn home shoes, the open compartment in the middle can be used to store handy items and decorations, and the side wall is also set up with a hanging area for clothes and hats, and it can also be equipped with a dressing mirror in the future.
Living room
Light colors are ideal for small homes and make the space visually more spacious by enhancing the brightness of the space.
The walls and ceilings of the living room are based on pure white, the wooden floors avoid the coldness of the space, and the large cabinets behind the sofas are inserted with a hint of blue, adding a unique personality to the home.
The TV wall chooses a large area of white space, and uses PU lines to decorate it to avoid visual monotony, and at the same time show the romantic French style pursued by the owner.
The width of the outer frame of the decorative line is 30mm, and the width of the inner frame is 18mm, which is visually harmonious and exquisite, and the bottom shape echoes the partition wall on the side, enhancing the overall sense of space.
The partition wall between the living room and the bedroom, with a large area of interior windows in the upper part, is made of ultra-clear glass and black ultra-narrow frame, which has a simple and refreshing appearance, and the semi-curved lines convey an elegant and retro atmosphere.
The carved light disc at the top is combined with a lunar chandelier to add variety to the pure white details.
The mobile TV is supported by a beech frame, which can be adjusted at will according to the owner's viewing needs. There is also a combination of a large coffee table and a small coffee table, the large coffee table has a storage function inside, which increases the storage space, and the small coffee table is light and easy to move, making it more flexible to use.
The balcony is connected to the living room, so even if it is lit on one side, it will not look dark. The white gauze curtain and the oversized floor-to-ceiling windows resemble a fluttering skirt when the wind blows, intertwining light and shadow, bringing romantic associations.
In order to keep the small family living tidy, a wall of storage cabinets is custom-made behind the sofa, combining hidden and exposed designs. The white area with doors is a hidden locker that can accommodate most of the items in the home, and the blue cabinet next to it is used as a bookshelf and display case, which will become a stage to show your personality when it is filled with items later.
There are also storage drawers underneath the blue display case to store tea sets and cups to avoid dust accumulation. There is a corridor between the cabinet and the sofa on the entire wall, so that the cabinet door can be opened and closed without being obstructed by the sofa.
Restaurant
The restaurant is located in the center of the entire public area, and the round table with a small footprint is chosen, which can form a smooth and free circular flow, and the dining table is more intimate for sitting around.
A full-sided worktop is customised against the wall, with an empty countertop in the middle as a western kitchen functional area, which is specially used to make daily light meals and afternoon desserts. The track socket meets the needs of various small appliances in the later stage, and the oven is embedded underneath to relieve the pressure in the kitchen.
There is a shutter door in the upper left corner of the sideboard, which hides the air conditioner hang-up, which not only keeps the appearance neat and tidy, but also does not affect the air outlet effect of the air conditioner. The shell-shaped dining chairs are small and beautiful, and the white jack-o-lanterns and bottle-capped wall clock on the wall are decorated as simple and unique.
A glass door is used to separate the kitchen from the dining room to prevent the smoke from spreading during cooking.
Kitchen
